Design and Development Consultants

DDC has designed and built 3 projects for us till now and are working on two more at present . We have known DDC for last 17 years. We find the design architects team at DDC lead by Baker technically quite competent who understand your requirements and includes them in the design. Project design and execution complies with all council requirements with optimum use of material and labour. Their founder/ director Mohammed Iqbal is the pillar having the vast knowledge and experience of building industry and you can trust him completely with your project. We would highly recommend DDC for building projects.

It is an absolute pleasure working with Design & Development Consultants. The whole team is very professional and great to work with. They exceeded my expectations and will definitely be working with them again in the future. Highly recommend !!!

We engaged DDC initially on word of mouth and I really wish I had seen an honest google review like this one before we blindly went ahead with subdividing and developing a piece of land back in early 2022.At no point did the process feel transparent whether it be price estimates or where the design process was actually going. We were with them for almost a year and nothing substantial came out of it, not once were we actually given a potential design for the house despite getting all the technical reports required; which I may add are not cheap and have a time limit of validity on them.It has actually been a harrowing experience having worked with this company. The architect we worked with was dismissive of our wishes for the house, condescending and honestly unprofessional- never came to meetings prepared or knew what potential council changes may apply to our plot or not which is shocking considering the hourly rate he charges. I never felt reassured by any meetings with him and that’s never a good start when your working with someone with large amounts of money at stake. I personally have no background in architecture or surveying and I ended up spending so much researching- doing the job I was paying someone else to do. I cannot rate this entire experience poorly enough, building in New Zealand is already so stressful and difficult and this just make it 1000 times worse, even before a plan was even made which stalled for almost a year. I absolutely would not recommend this company to any developer/potential home builder - they will waste your time and leave you in the dark.
