Kids will enjoy this park especially in Spring because there's a high chance of spotting cute ducklings fresh from the nearby stream's nesting areas. It's fascinating to watch devoted, male mallards fussing over their brood just as much as mother ducks and the clumsy, young ones trying to find their feet as they practice their gymnastic skills over little piles of flotsam in the stream. Tiny, nature gems to observe and enjoy, all within your own backyards...UPDATE MAR 2019: Within Birdie Park is a children's playgournd that has in recent months been upgraded to a high standard, with brand new, cheerful equipment and safe-matting added. It's good to see just how much the little kids love this upgrade along with mums and dads for you will see many families enjoying the park in their free-time. A thumbs-up to Hutt CC for the great job here and the overall Riddiford Gardens upgrade in 2018. For this I upgrade my award to 4 stars.

Excellent ducks at this establishment, definitely a five star experience

Incredible quackers, absolutely breathtaking. The size of those chonkers is wonderful! Would recommend to absolutely everyone.

Nice little park in the center of town

So peaceful and serene. Not to mention scenic as well. Enjoyed feeding the birds.

Good little park. Slightly entertaining. Clean park but very dirty toilets.
