Completed PG1 and PG2 with Grey in a group of 4 friends. Grey was an excellent instructor, always calm and extremely professional. Grey clearly has a true passion for paragliding and teaching. Instructors Ryan and Brian were also excellent, knowledge extremely friendly and safety conscious. Watching other operators also teaching the same course it was chalk and cheese, we were so pleased to be with Grey

Can not recommend enough!! I did my Pg1 and Pg2 with the team here. It was fantastic every step of the way, from starting off, to tips about gear and much more. The flying was fantastic and learned a lot from the instructors. Amazing sites around Christchurch and awesome team. Cheers guys was bloody brilliant.

I can't recommend Grey (at Cloudbase Paragliding NZ) highly enough!Not only is he a friendly, approachable, skilled pilot with years of knowledge that he shares clearly and openly; he is exceptionally kind. He really will go above and beyond to help you out and make sure you have all the support you need for your debut into the world of free flight. I'd like to thank him very much for all his help guiding me through my intro day, PG1, PG2, paragliding theory, gear selections and many other things besides. It's been a pleasure to fly with you (and continue to do so!), and I'd like to think I have made a friend as well as an instructor.He also has the assistance of many other excellent pilots helping you approach your first landings, begin ground handling and explore any questions you might have. (I'd especially like to thank Ryan for his kind and patient manner while guiding me through the earliest stages, and his help with cobra launch).I'm sure many other licensed pilots out on the hill echo my sentiments, and I hope to be back with you to pick up some more advanced skills... once I've practised and perfected my current set of course :)See you out there!

If you want to learn to fly in Christchurch, this is the place to do it! Fantastic training from Grey and the whole team, learning to fly here has been a real pleasure. Well equipped with gear and vehicles - you'll never have to walk up the hill! The instructors are extremely experienced, so after completing PG2 I'm confident and comfortable flying. They're very flexible - Grey even worked on New Year's Day to make the most of a good weather opportunity.

Just finished my PG1/PG2 course with Grey and his team and it was an awesome experience, Thank you guys! Cloudbase Paragliding school was a great place to start learning about this amazing sport, Grey and his team have decades of experience with flying on sites all around the world and more importantly, with teaching others to fly. I feel more confident and comfortable in the air after the course and look forward to pursue this new passion:)

Just did a cross country course with Grey at Cloudbase Paragliding and i cannot recommend them highly enough! Ive been flying now for 2 1/2 years and really struggled to climb in Thermals let alone fly XC. During the course of the weekend, with the help of Grey and 3 of his instructors i managed to climb all the way to cloudbase and embark on a XC flight in the Cragieburn range. If you're looking to learn how to paraglide or improve your flying skills, i wouldn't look any further than Grey at Cloudbase Paragliding!!!

I did my my whole paragliding training from intro to PG2 pilot license with Grey and his team (Jean and Ryan) and I can’t recommend enough. They are great instructors and definitely made the learning curve easy for all. Their enthusiasm for paragliding and teaching will make you fall in love with the sport. Grey can cater to everyone depending on their learning types and time restraints. Grey really takes his time to get to know each and everyone and welcomes you into his home, (make sure to have some lollies during theory). Grey really makes you feel part of the paragliding family. Grey has tons of knowledge, experience and lots of good flying stories. All the instruction and gear are top quality. Lots of different wings and gear to try before you look into purchasing your own. I know I’ll be seeing the team around Taylor’s Mistake for many years to come and look forward to flying with them in many more. Have a go with Grey and the team, you won’t want to go anywhere else. 10/10 :)

Recently had the pleasure of completing pg1 & 2 with Grey, Ryan and Brian. All three are excellent at what they do! Grey and Ryan’s knowledge and patience makes the whole course a very safe and exciting experience! I highly recommend Cloudbase to anyone who wants to spread their wings!
