The Boatshed Bar

Excellent place for a meal & drink post hike! Situated right on the waterfront. Pizza was tasty and catered well for allergies. Not a massive menu for vegetarians with only one sharing platter having no meat.

Service and food were excellent even though it was busy. Enjoyed our night and taxi to and from the boat.

A really lovely place. The staff are awesome and the chefs are seriously talented at what they do. Amazing food and great service.

We had an amazing meal here after a long day of hiking. It was a pleasant surprise to find this hidden gem in Ponga Cove, will definitely go back! Plus who doesn't like a bar with a great selection of beverage from the trendy to the classic.

The worst experience ever!!!We went there after long drive and exhausting hike to enjoy our last day of holiday. It was 5:20pm we ordered pizza and beer and paid for it straight away. Mistake! We waited for our pizza patiently, talking..Saw how other people got their orders. We waited for ours, it is coming soon, soon we thought...Then the sun went down and it was getting really cold.. We looked at the time it was nearly 2 hours since we ordered pizza. It is our cultural matter that we don’t rush people especially chef behind. So we just waited for ages, after 2hours waiting and starving we went to ask where is our pizza. It came out the order was never given to chef and they just forgot!!! How come the waiter forget the order when he (with tunnel earrings) walked past from us so many times and saw we are waiting for the order!! For such a nice place I couldn’t believe this could happen but our lesson was learnt - do not pay for your order straight away and better stay away from The Boatshed Bar, there are better places around!

Absolutely chaotic place, we tried to order drinks and some pizzas at the bar but were told to take a seat and a waiter would come to us… someone took our order after almost an hour, however after 3 hours, our water taxi home arrived so we had to cancel the order (not even drinks were brought out). There are no table numbers so the staff were wandering around trying to figure out who had ordered what. One waiter told us he hadn’t had a break or eaten in 7 hours… that is illegal. I can understand that it was would be busy, but it was bloody hopeless. What a disappointment! We left feeling very hangry. Maybe bring your own sammies!!
