Nail Centre Salon

Just got a french tip SNS in a round shape with previous acrylic removal & I’m in looove! Annie was my technician and she did a beautiful job. She communicated very well, was gentle with my hands, double checked with me on things like the colour, shape etc. I’m really impressed with the customer service and the quality of the nails! The muuusic too, coincidentally they were playing my fave genre and time era and so I was able to jam while getting my nails done. They are lovely ladies who have nice conversation with you! Lovely friendly staff. I booked for my daughter but was happily surprised by the offer to give me a pedicure while I waited for her. Yes, I had to pay for it, but it was lovely, especially the massage chair. Highly recommended.

I just had the WORST experience ever at this salon. I was a first time customer and called the day before to make an appointment for a gel polish removal and a pedicure with normal polish. They booked me in for 5:30pm, I wasn’t aware that they closed at 6pm, they did not tell me this on the phone and still accepted my appointment. When I got there, the lady said “pedicure with gel” - I said no, it was pedicure with normal polish and a gel removal. A big red flag already that she did not know what I was coming in there for. From the start, I could tell she didn’t want to do it, was being very quick and rough with me. I had bought my Birkenstocks sandals with me ready to put on after it was done. I noticed her colleague finished with another customer and left at 6pm, that’s when she said they closed at 6pm (this explained why she was being so fast). She didn’t allow the polish to dry for anywhere near a long enough time (under 5mins), so by the time I put my sandals on, the polish had smudged on two of my little toes on my left foot (also my sandals did NOT even touch any of my nails, I unstrapped them & put them on very carefully, she saw that, this shows how wet they still were!) She sighed and started to say it was my fault because I had crooked toes. WHAT! She tried fixing it and smudged it even more, she didn’t want to let me stay longer to allow my toes to dry properly. Then her husband showed up to pick her up. She was talking to him in another language about what was going on, he was very calm, understood the situation and seemed happy to allow me to wait and let the toes dry before I left the salon. She avoided cleaning up the smudging she had caused on my toes from when she tried to ‘fix’ it (see attached photo). I asked if she still expected me to pay for this and walk out with my toes looking like that & without them dry. What customer would want to pay for that?! Since I had already made payment before the smudging happened, I could not leave without paying. She said no refund and started getting very angry & rude with me, she was raising her voice at me, throwing her hands up, telling me I am the worst customer she has ever had, zero ownership. Even her husband couldn’t calm her down. I could not believe the way this lady was speaking to me, I have never experienced this. Would she have spoken to me this way if there were other customers around or if her other colleagues were still in the salon? I was absolutely appalled and disgusted. I told her this was no way to speak to a customer, especially a first time customer. Not once did she apologise and say “I’m sorry, this appointment should not have been booked so close to closing time” or “I’m sorry, can you come back tomorrow to fix this?” or offer any reasonable solution. I said to her that perhaps whoever had booked the appointment with me over the phone in the first place should not have proceeded to book this knowing there was only going to be half an hr available which is definitely not enough time for a gel removal and a pedicure with normal polish. She kept trying to make excuses, saying that if I bought jandals then it would be fine, and kept blaming me saying it was my fault. If the person who booked the appointment with me the day before explained that there will only be 30 mins and to ensure I bring jandals then I would‘ve. She offered at the end when I said about not paying that she could re-do the two nails, I said that would be great if they are able to dry, she said no.. What is the point in re-doing it if they cannot dry?! Otherwise they will just end up in the same situation again. I could not believe she was blaming me & actually still making me pay for this terrible pedicure.. appalling. Abusing a customer, telling me to get out of the salon, not listening to me, blaming me… this is by far the WORST customer service I have ever received in my life.. I am still in shock. I will never ever come back here and I would not recommend going here unless you want terrible service and extremely rude behaviour. Very disappointed!!!!!

Best Nail saloon visited ever. Dalis owner accommodated my twins and me during Xmas rush. Thank you for making it so special. Definitely recommend this place. City centre, friendly staff, perfect job!!

I have a mixed review of this salon. We booked in advance for my wedding and were really looking forward to some bonding time. It was meant to be a fun, wedding pamper day for only both my daughter and I. We both had a pedi and I had a sns manicure, meanwhile my daughter had a gel mani so not a particularly demanding group. It started fine albeit, one of the techs was very evidently inexperienced so kept getting dragged off the job. My tech was lovely and knew her job well but alot was being asked of her by the boss and she kept being interrupted. As time went on, casual customers started to enter meaning the techs were being ordered over to new clients leaving our pedis incomplete. Finally, our feet were done and as sns is a much longer process I was redirected over from the pedi lounge over to the mani area to start on my hands. This meant leaving my 9 Yr old daughter in the corner for around 1.5 hrs while they tended to every single person (I counted around 8 casuals) that walked in the door. She was completely over looked. It was actually really rude. Meanwhile, the tech was back and forward between me and several other clients under the bosses direction. It was complete chaos and not a good experience. The boss also at one point came over to shape my nails and asked how I would like them. I said mostly square but with rounded edges and she actually scalded me. Apparently, I should say round not square. Honestly, she's lucky I didn't make a scene. She then blamed it on being a busy day. Finally, 2.5 arduous hrs after entering the salon we had our nails complete although not a pleasant pampering experience we were paying for. They were resonable quality but more care could have been taken particularly as a wedding party and the results were underwhelming. As if weddings aren't stressful enough. It was obvious they were over reaching and the sensible thing to do is to advise the casual customer of the wait time, not make your current/booking clients wait while they cram everyone in. All in all, we spent damn near $350 and we're treated as an inconvenience. I felt as though the staff were stressed and money was more important than the customer. Along with very little parking available and the apptmt taking so long we needed to top up the metre half way through, I can't recommend this experience and won't be back.
