Nice experience….after 11 years!Our last visit to Lone Star, Queenstown was in 2011. The most recent visit was in December 2022 - during Christmas/ New Year holidays.We were a group of 8, including 5 vegetarians. All the dishes we had were well prepared, and the wait time was reasonable. The service was friendly and efficient.If my memory serves me right, the number of vegetarian options in 2022 is more than in 2011, which is great.It was quite a nice experience dining at Lone Star, after the long drive from Christchurch. My only small complaint would be that there was no guacamole/ avocado in the nachos dish. The dish was tasty nevertheless, hence we didn’t mention it to the staff there.I will be happy to dine here again.

I recently celebrated my birthday there and had the most fantastic night. I attended the function from overseas but even the planning was simple and easy thanks to the fabulous staff, from the moment we first made contact. On the night everything went perfectly. The staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming, the drinks were excellent and food was simply delicious. Getting that many meals out at once, on time and all fresh and hot I’m sure was a challenge but didn’t seem like it. It was an absolutely perfect way to celebrate my birthday and if I could go back again I would!A special thanks to Jen, Marketa and Mary who really went above and beyond to ensure the evening was a success, and made me feel special and valued.

Our server Ellie was very helpful checking what gluten free dishes were suitable for me as a Coeliac. The steaks and burger were so delicious especially the coleslaw. The manager was very helpful in moving us due to one of their fires giving out a lot of smoke which was the only dampener. Also too much ice in drinks always annoying. Awesome feed and always is whichever Lonestar we go to

We dined here a couple of nights ago. The menu had great variety. The serving sizes are huge (which is great)!! Our waiter had a face mask on and it made it very hard for everyone to hear. The venue was very crowded and it was hard to have a conversation in the dining space.

Our server Basil was amazing, he was friendly and entertaining, thank you Basil. The food was worth the price you paid and absolutely delicious. Went there for my nieces 18th birthday, Basil sang her happy birthday and she was given a free desert.

The food here was extremely good. A fine dining steak house would have trouble meeting the level of steak that I received this evening- 10/10The service was very impressive, we were served by Gabe, who was friendly, professional and welcoming in his approach to serve us.Would highly recommend.

We have a lovely dining experience and would highly recommend the stand by my lamb and the prawn star dishes. The lamb was perfectly cooked and the prawns had a nice addictive kick that reeled you in for more. Our waitress Ellie and waiter Gabe made our night from the moment we entered.
