Took my 4wd in to get a tow bar installed. Was booked in. Took it in and was told it would be finished by the end of the day. I recieved no call, so called and was told they didn't have some of the parts and that they need to keep it overnight and do it tomorrow. That would have been ok if they had called me earlier in the day and let me know so that I could make plans to go an extra day without our vehicle. But they left it til a few minutes before closing. Not impressed. It's been booked in for a few weeks. They should have had the parts anyway. And even if not, they should have communicated with me and let me know earlier. My daughter's car seat is in there and now we can't even go to get it because they're closed.

I have no idea what all the others reviews are on about. Hands down the worst mechanic I have ever used.Forgetful, expensive, and dishonest with timing.My car was great for 4 years, never a single issue. Took it in for one small issue and ever since it has had problems.Every time you take it it's something new and couldn't possibly be that the last work they did wasn't effective the exact same problem is caused by soemthing completely different.Been charged for parts that look like they're unchanged.Will just fix my own car going forward and save the headache - it's probably faster!

All the locals love Anton the mechanic. He always goes above and beyond to help you. Best trait ever in a mechanic! As often it's the little extra things to show care that really make your day. I feel like they are not taking advantage of women who clearly know nothing about cars at this garage. Which has happened to me in the past. Only down side is Anton is really busy as you can imagine. . But so worth it!

Awesome staff, nothing is a problem to them they can fix ANYTHING ,they have done numerous jobs on my 46 Ford Coupe and other classic cars I own.

Just headed back from a roady from Hokitika. Managed to get a nail in the tire. Just after closing time the mechanic helped out and saved the day. Much appreciated and amazing help from him!

Always an absolute pleasure working with the Oxford GAS team!!They always get my car in as fast as they can and do an awesome job. They're communication is always faultless and if they ever have any issues they always call to keep me in the loop. They're very accommodating and are just super decent people!
