What can I say ? This place is actually pretty GREAT.It is amazing that the people of Christchurch can have such a facility to help them with recycling.But this place is hard to find in terms of its location.And it looks pretty nasty, with its structural setting, the bad smell and the decrepit buildings.The whole place looks like some kind of a post-apocalyptic wasteland, which is perfect for filming a zombie movie if I might venture to write my comment with a bit of creativity.Additionally, I disagree with some of the commentators who had criticized the workers for their unfriendly & bad attitude".I feel sorry for the workers who work at EcoDrop. Went here this morning and dealt with the most loveliest lady at the weigh bridge. I didn't quite know where I had to go to drop my items and she directed me and gave me a wave as I drove out. It's these sorts of people who make the experience so much better. Thank you!

Plenty of options to have products recycled for use again. Eg paint. Chemicals for garden. Gas bottles etc. Just drop them off and you dont need to pay extra on waste etc.

Very smart way to see how much rubbish you are deposing by using a weighing bay. Easy to access rubbish and recycling site.

There are recycles, greens and waste, three lanes. Only the waste (red) lane costs for dumping, minimum charge $10 for 50kg and below. Drive in on a balance and they will record your car plate and car weight, your car will be weigh again upon exit while you proceed to payment. Prepaid lane is available, you can pay online and drive straight out, to miss the queue. Can be very busy on weekends and holidays. Super friendly staff on site, helping out at the recycling areas.

Separated one wool sack full of flax from one wool sack full of garden waste.Informed staff 95% of the weight was in green waste, however was charged for a mixed load - over $50, despite putting flax in refuse and green waste in green waste. Similar past loads have been approx $15. Refused to give a receipt.Feels like I paid for morning tea at the local bakery for the staff today.Concern to CCC has been ignored.
