Downtown Vehicle Recovery

My car broke down just outside of Tauranga on my way back to Auckland. Dave from DVR Towing towed my vehicle and I back to Tauranga - he was efficient, kind and extremely friendly while also offering helpful advice on what to do next as I did not live in the area and was quite flustered.The next day I had extremely little means of transport within Tauranga so I was not able to return to my car at the DVR site. I called DVR and liaised with Leanne who listened to my story and eventually helped me to sell the remains of my car for scrap metal - with me barely having to do anything save for a couple of email exchanges. Leanne was exemplary in her patience, compassion and competence in her role.Due to Dave and Leanne’s kindness and service, I was able to focus on returning back to Auckland first and foremost while easily finding a solution on what to do with my car. They really smoothed out what would have otherwise been a much more stressful time for me. Thank you again DVR and especially Dave and Leanne!Martin

Very nice people and super helpful. Was a little disappointed to see my car at their yard sitting under a tree collecting branches and sap, not ideal for the paint work. But to be fair, the paint work isn't in good condition anyway.

Greg and his team are honest, reliable and punctual, I use DVR for breakdown towing and any vehicle transport I require for my business and they have always proven to be the best choice in the area.

Used this company a lot of times and gave them a lot of chances....They have cost me $1500 in damages !When tried to communicate with the company, they have said very arrogantly I'm the one with the problems and I definitely am when downtown vehicle recovery give them to me constantly!!First problem seeing them tow my car 50ks over a big speed bump / driver apologisedSecond problem delivered car to the wrong address.....3rd problem pulled wrong nozzle on the first day what scrapped the drive way and once again driver took full responsibility but company didn't.... cost me $400 to sort out and still looks bad.4th problem , getting told to drive my car on truck by driver so i did i asked is there room under my car and is it safe he replied yes lots of room I moved 30cm forward to find there was no room and i had been extremely misinformed by the operator to make $1100 of damage.Called up to get resolved and got told you drove it so your fault while under complete instruction from driver.Currently getting security footage for legal venture as have been told by a lawyer if I'm under control of the company they still have to take responsibility.I advise everybody to not drive the vehicles with the company and let them spend extra time to winch it onreply to the terrible comment:you have each job written down? Then why did the drivers take responsibility but not the company?? with multiple witnessesI have used one other towing company and didn't use them again because they made damage to the driveway like yourself: fun fact they actually took responsibility and paid for their part... you will notice no negative reviews on there's!Yes, alright negative reviews on companies that have screwed me or done wrong that's why they're!First incident I have on security camera at my house, just waiting on the next lot of footage from the storage yard.There's even the worker or one of the managers who popped over to the house to see the damage and said that they would do something about it. Never to return or even get them back in contact.If you pride yourself with customer service, then maybe you should show it.And not have me going through all of this to prove it all , once again the drivers admitted to the damages with multiple witnesses
