Whanganui Hospital
I am not from new Zealand but one of my friends are who went into this hospital with severe left side abdominal pain and had bloods and urines taken only not even a scan as the scan referral would take weeks? What the actual hell, what if my friend has a ruptured cyst and she becomes septic because of a referral taking so bloody long? The treatment and care she was provided VERY POOR CARE. This is absolutely disgusting and yous should be absolutely ashamed of how you treat sick people , you don't even investigate why they're there. She has been throwing up and yous have no care in the world. That is itself is absolutely disgraceful. I give yous a rating of 0

My name is Gary Palmer and I would like to express my admiration to all the medical professionals and support staff including the ambulance staff involved in saving my life and giving recovery support after a rare propofol reaction resulting in pancreatitis during a surgery at a private hospital. They are all amazing and have shown myself, my wife and family incredible empathy and compassion during this harrowing experience

We had to cancel the ambulance because it took 1hour and 20-30 minutes, I live out 30 minutes alone. I get the weather but I don't understand and I am extremely dissapointed on why it took over 1hour ! Maybe I'm being a Karen, but do better next time please, and learn how to treat patients(medically) better! Many reviews here complaining, but we want to see the change ! Kia ora .

What a huge asset to the Wanganui community.I am from Pukekohe and was in Wanganui visiting relatives when I developed abdominal pain and ended up being taken to Wanganui hospital in an ambulance.Long story short I was very thankful for the care, and professional treatment I received while in this hospital.I had successful appendix removal surgery the following day and have recovered well.I was most impressed with the doctors ensuring they diagnosed my condition correctly.I would like to say a big thank you to the hospital and the ambulance staff who were also fantastic.ThankyouChris Spillane

Confusing long signs ground floor entrance. Maori wording, some 2 lines long dominated signs with short simple english name tacked on end. Gaveup trying to interpret! Guessed from memory and walked to 1st floor, signs similar but english name tacked on end was bold print so could follow arrows. Large Parking area was hard to find space 8.15am. Staff were very efficient and proffesional and short wait time however referral took months... but I didnt die. Sad to see maori wording has dominated much of New Zealand with few understanding it when NZ is part of and relies on western world.

Waiting three hours for a one lil blood test . . . doesn't seem right. Also, don't isolate someone in a room by themselves for 2-3 hours when they're suicidal. It's quite obvious you actually don't either understand the situation or care.
