Nice place to unwind and relax.. take some stress out.. and it's great for the kids as well, they surely enjoyed our short stay in this beautiful place..

AWESOME playground. So far out favourite place to take kids to in Christchurch. Both 1 yo and 3 yo have fantastic time. And it's so great that it's just by the sea. There's less attractions for the younger one, but she always has lots of fun anyway.

Highly recommend for kids to play in the warm day or summer. Toilet, cafe, supermarket are all around. It would be great if there are more shades. Cold water for washing the sand away.

It's ok but they need to fix the pool some areas scrape the knees of the children, I saw some children with blood on their knees.

Absolutely fantastic spot to let the kids have a good run around. You can get icecreams across the street or a fish'n'chip feed after at one of the nearby shops.

New Brighton Beachside Playground
Wonderful playground for kids, and perhaps adults as well. We visited during winter time, but still enjoyable although it's wet because of the overnight rain. It has a paddling pool, which should be open during summer months. The playground is within walking distance from a beautiful beach, library, and a Countdown supermarket. So everything needed for children must be there. Will visit again.

New Brighton Beachside Playground
This playground is right on the ocean and in summer has a paddling pool. Kids love the spinning globe, musical instruments and pirate ship.

Beautiful new playground right by the beach, awesome water play area with a little shallow pool, and a fantastic waka with slides etc coming off it, swings, tramps, the works!
