I think they need more staff and also they send me emails about contacting them because I haven’t filed a IR3 even though I have already done that and received my refund....also takes a long time to get your donations tax...they need a more efficient system. Or more training for the staff...but I don’t know the ins and outs as I don’t know what they do I’m sure there is probably a reason.

This has just been such a terrible experience for me. The Visa people made a mistake with my husband's no on his working visa and this has now made it impossible to do the IRD No online. Now we have to find the offices and we have been driving around for 4 days looking for the offices. We were taken to 2 offices which were closed. We cannot find the place. Google has been unhelpful and no one at his workplace is even able to help us. I'm in a new country and deeply disillusioned after only 7 days. This means my husband cannot get paid with his IRD number. There seems to be no clear address or help anywhere to be found. Seriously disillusioned and unhappy!

if i could rate it zero or less i wouldthere is about a million and a half things wrong with this outfit, firstly they expect you to pay for the mistakes they make, secondly the myir is hard to navigate and thirdly when making an online payment it now requires multiple procedures to go through which are outdated and doesnt recognise updated details, i used to work in an environment where mistakes got you verbal abuse, screaming and objects thrown at us - maybe management of this former workplace of mine can take over and teach these clowns the meaning of zero-tolerance-for-error. FEAR BASED CULTURE WORKED IN A CERTAIN WELLINGTON SUPERMARKET IN THE LATE 2000S AND WILL WORK IN A 2020S GOVT DPT

Friendly service. Got the IRD number within a few hours. Bit difficult to find the place though

Excellent customer service. I went online to apply for IRD, and the details are unclear. Which we went to the office. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Clearly explained what we have to do.

We visited the IRD office (on 13th Jan 2020 around 12.30pm) because we were confused with some of online service options. The lady and gentlemen were so helpful and nice, they explained to us the difference and helped us to complete the form on the spot. We flu over from Aus to sort out these paperwork and we are so glad that we went to the IRD office in person. Thank you so so much!

You need more call center staff. I have letters in My IRD telling me really important things but I had no contact or physical letters, just notes sitting in my IRD waiting for the day I just happen to check it. I need to talk to someone about it but my call can't be connected and you don't even have a call back system. Very frustrating and unhelpful.

Very impressed with the automated phone instructions on how to apply for a personal tax summary in order to find out if I am owed any $$s for the past tax year. Easy to understand and follow. Well done IRD.
