I wnated free money thye gave me the noney know i am in debt abd they take my fridge evry two weeks and i dont know why.

Very rude and poor customer service, I asked to open an account with the bank, I rang earlier and asked which documents to bring before attending, I was told proof of address and passport nothing was explain in depth, when I arrived I was greeted by a very angry staff member female she appeared to be in her early mid 20s, long blond hair, her face was stern, I greeted her and proceeded to explain my reason of visit, I wanted to open an account, which should have been a pleasant exchange of words become an interigation, just closed ended questions, do you have a passport? Do you have proof of address? I replied ive been in NZ for 1 week and 2 days, how would I obtain proof of address, my mother has her tenancy agreement of the address in which I am residing, the staff member replies, is it 6 months valid, I told her we rang over the phone and they did not explain that to me, she said go get a letter from a GP with your name and address stated, my mother explained it could take more that 2 days before we are seen or longer due to being at full capacity and not taking on new clients, then that same staff member says we close at 1300 I stood there without any help, she was very unhelpful, she was not very inviting nore was she kind, poor customer service as she is focused on what can't be done rather than what can be done, she did not offer advice and guidance, im disgusted in her delivery of customer service towards me and my mother who is and existing consumer. I went to another bank they were helpful and very informing they explained ill have to ring tax office and ask for a my tax number and a letter sent VIA my online account stating name and address to send to there establishment once obtained they will go ahead and complete my application to open an account, they were very focused on offering assistance in a forward and friendly manner. They assisted me that same day to start an online application but informed me that i will need all information required to complete the online form, it took 3 days to set up an account, having to wait for NZ tax office to contact me, I think Kiwibank could learn from ASB Bank on how to treat customers. Be more helpful a little goes along way.

Big room, helpful staff, double entrance, for security?

Masks aren't law. Tell your security guards to stop puffing out their chests and trying to intimidate others when they have mask exemptions. Which by law we don't have to produce but I'm happy to to the manager. Also, why is the bank not providing masks for those who don't have them when the guard is rudely claiming it's policy?Security guards don't have any right to intimidate others. They have as much jurisdiction as your common citizen. Even those with C.O.A's. I suggest you remind them of this. Better still, find another outfit. That guy belongs outside of a pub tryna push his so called weight

I maxed out the cash drop also they only ever have two tellers so lines can get extremely long and they aren't open very long.

If you're a business customer don't bother. Have been calling their business banking department for over a week and the phone has never been picked up. Was on hold for over 70minutes once just to see how long it'd go for but I gave up eventually. Also tried calling their Business Manager Karl (got his details from the Napier branch), his landline wasn't connected and he never returned the message left on his mobile. I just wanted to open an account and support a kiwi owned bank but they literally won't even bother talking to me. And I'm not driving from Napier to Hasting just to find out when I can make an appointment. Pull your finger out, Kiwibank.
