Quite nice. Price for campervan and Wi-Fi very reasonable. Staff was fantastic. Looks a bit industrial off the shingle but facilities were well cared for and modern. Promoted wise water usage and not too far from beach. Other places to visit not too far.

Very friendly place, with the nicest garden for tents. Garden has a small pond with fish and eels, there is sheeps and goats behind the garden.Bathroom (free hot showers) and kitchen facilities are perfect. Free unlimited reasonably fast WiFi (fastest I used for two weeks at least). Small activities for children, like feeding the fish. And lots of animals to observe from the garden.More withdrawn from the main road than I expected (you can still hear the cars, but it's not intrusive in any way) and relatively close to a city with grocery stores, gas stations, ice cream shops and more. Also near the ocean and walking distance from the beach.The only few downsides to know about is: The train is driving next to the camp grounds (could be an attraction if you want to observe the trains passing by - however very infrequent), and campervans are located on small rocks (personally I prefer grass).

Arrived and greeted by friendly owners sharon and Murray, very clean amenities, 6kms to hokitika town centre, perfect weather, cabins can be rented short or long term kitchen cabins are furnished and comfortable, just use communal toilets, shower and kitchen if needed, a 2 element cooker is available in units, caravans are also available, come see for yourself, you won't be disappointed

Quite a small campsite, which on first appearance looks a bit scruffy. However, Sharon and her husband were really friendly and helpful, and the facilities are kept very clean with lovely hot, free, showers. There is also free WiFi, although on our second night my phone wouldn't connect to it, and a snack bar with an honesty box. You can also help Sharon feed the eels which live in the pond if you wish to in the evening!The railway runs alongside the site, but in our 3 days/ nights there we didn't hear a train at all.

Best campsite we found in South Island. Good location and close to a lot of things to do and see. Excellent price. The facilities were spotless and the owners were super friendly. The snack cart was an excellent idea and we were invited to help feed the three pet eels they keep on the grounds - not to be missed! Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again if we end up back in the area.

Amazing place to stay for a really good prize ! We liked it so much that we stayed longer than actually planed. Nice owner who loves his job and even got eels in his pond which you can feed by yourself everyday night at 7pm. Such a great experience ! Thanks a lot !!

really excellent, shared facilities were all clean and nice for what you'd expect from a campground and at $17 pp/p night really didn't break the bank. lovely grounds and there was even a cat! didn't want to leave honestly

I rented a cabin at Cloud 9 lifestyle park from June until September 2020 and cannot say enough wonderful things about the whole set up Sharon and Murray were super welcoming from the moment I arrived. It's an absolute stunning setting, from the cabin, grounds, kitchen and bathroom facilities, which were far exceeded my expectations. As a single female, the owners ensured I felt comfortable and safe at all times I can't say enough positive things about the place, the group of long term tenants that are currently residing are all friendly, helpful but respect each other's privacy. We stayed here in earlyFebruary and it was fabulous. Plenty of signs to find the Reception. The owners are great, even arranged a get together around a fire in the night for everyone. The showers are very good, and a nice location.

$39/night, 2 adults, powered. Very friendly owners who have a varied assortment of pets from rabbits, birds, hamsters and eels.powered area is gravel with a spacer every second site. The amenities are clean and good size for the camp. Good for a nights stay while exploring the area.
