Just finished my third hunt with Sheldon. As always he produced a fantastic hunt with great adventure. Deer, goat, ram and turkeys. Wonderful host. Already looking forward to hunt #4.

My wife organised a hunt for my 60th birthday through Southern Hunting Adventures and it was the best present a chap could have asked for. Spending the day on the mountains around Mt Rosa after wild goat and fallow deer was absolutely brilliant with the weather holding up nicely. We made it all the way up to the snow line before heading back down where I bagged my first fallow deer (after many buck in South Africa). Very different hunting to what I've done in the past but with Quintin and Li guiding me it was very successful. We had a great day out and I found both Quintin and Li as professional, friendly and great fun to be with as I could have asked for.Thanks to Sheldon, Li and Quintin for a most memorable hunt!

Blew our minds. Bought the overnight adventure package, which was really easy to book because Sheldon was so helpful and responsive.From start to finish it was fantastic and tailored to us. Our guide, Matt, was very professional and friendly. The hospitality and hunting was top notch.

Sheldon was fantastic to deal with. Very easy. I organised the hunt as a surprise gift. Sheldon communicated well in the lead-up and worked in with our dates. I was confident my husband was in for a great day and a nice challenge. I had just one request - he wanted a deer!... Sheldon & Angus delivered... Needless to say husband came back grinning ear to ear with his first deer and fresh venison for the BBQ. Big thank you to Sheldon and Angus. He'll be back!

Anybody looking for not only a great hunt, but a full blown adventure of a lifetime needs to give Southern Hunting Adventures and outfitter Sheldon a call! Being an outfitter from Montana myself it would have been easy to be critical of anything that wasn't up to par........not here though.....all aspects of this outfitter and his operation were above what I expected on my Tahr and Chamois hunt! If you are looking to hunt the South Island of New Zealand this is the place and Sheldon is your man!

Trip of a Lifetime - turkey and elk hunting in June. Sheldon Lye and his organization are the Best-of-the-Best. Everything from accommodations to the overall experience were outstanding. After only a short time, Sheldon and his staff made you feel like you had been friends for years. I was supposed to hunt with him in 2020, but Covid delayed us until June 2023. Through that entire ordeal, his recommendations and advice were spot-on. He has quality animals and birds. Hunting Merriam gobblers was pure joy - mobs and mobs of them. Stalking an almost 400 class elk was thrilling. Sheldon knows his stuff. The actual stalk alone was worth the effort; pulling the trigger was secondary. In another turkey hunt, I saw a superb gold medal stag, a world class fallow buck and a tremendous Arapaho ram. It was tempting to fill the back of his truck up. But, that would have prevented my return for another Great hunt with Sheldon. I am counting the days until another trip to hunt turkeys during their breeding season.
