I finally listened to my recording from 2020 and the feeling I had straight afterward and for weeks after was confirmed. The feeling was that I didn't get much out of it, and it felt a bit phony while the session was three hours. The first two hours was spent being told how much I had 'the gift' and teaching me how I could be in tune with this gift. It was super repetitive and a lot of what was said was just repeated and reworded details from me. In the recording I could feel my frustration and impatience and I was actually asking multiple times if we were going to talk about any messages coming through for me. This was answered with not yet

What appealed to me about Matewais style as a reader is that she calls on her ancestors and indigenous roots which is te ao Maori. The reading style is relaxed and friendly.
