That was an unexpected surprise to come across such a professional record shop run from a private garage. Huge stock, absolutely immaculate & well displayed. It is not just records but vinyl record cleaning aids, helpful advice, and friendly service. Gordon is very knowledgable, delivers all over the globe. We could not help but be very impressed, plus spent a bit more than we planned after finding some favourite records from the past. Thanks Gordon...we'll be back.

JFTR is a hidden gem record store. They have rarities and a back catalogue that other stores don’t have.. and don’t cane you on the prices for them. They ship fast and in excellent packaging. I have made multiple purchases from them recently and every time the experience has been faultless.

Howdy.I ordered online from these guys earlier this week and my records just arrived.Well, packaged, prompt, and with a nice level of personalisation by way of a little note on the invoice.I can't speak for the approach of these guys in person, but they provide a fantastic online service.

This is a store where you go for the records you love in good condition at a competitive price, Not recommended for bargain hunting, the owner is very sharp on current pricing and offers a fantastic new and used selection. Very professional service. I cannot recommend this store highly enough, If you're a collector in or out of town this is a must visit.

Gordon is amazing - so knowledgeable and helpful. We arrived not quite sure and left lifelong fans of his shop and his awesome approach to retail. Highly recommended - as with anyone, if you want a positive experience just abide by the first universal law, “don’t be an arsehole”. He rocks!

I found a vinyl album I have been looking for for a long time on the Just For the Record website so I pinged an email over to check stock. Received a quick reply so ordered immediately. My album was shipped very quickly just before Christmas. Now we know it takes awhile with international post, especially with Xmas holidays and a pandemic in the way. But the album arrived safely and was exactly as promised. Can’t fault the service!I can confidently say that this shop offers great Old Skool service with friendly communications even if you live thousands of miles away. It’s a shame I don’t live closer as it’s my kind of record store.Thanks guys. You made my New Year much happier !

Made the effort to go to Just For The Record's suburban location. Well worth the effort. Came away very happy with purchases. Gordon is very friendly and incredibly keen to help. Some may find his input overbearing (I see some negative comments here) but I didn't. And I think saying something like happy to browse thanks and will yell out if I need some help" is the way to go. Great coffee too...."

I made quite a few trips to Just For The Record during my recent time in New Zealand. What a fantastic selection of both current and older, hard to find records, especially from New Zealand artists/Flying Nun Records. I ended up with a number of hidden gems that I had been seeking for quite some time. Gordon and Janis were gracious hosts, extremely welcoming, and always grateful for my business. I enjoyed my time in the shop, chatting and joking with Gordon, and my only regret was not having the time to take him up on his offers for a coffee at every visit. (I'll be sure to next time!) Good people, great business. It's very worth your time to drop by this wonderful shop!

Fantastic range, fast shipping, and always well packaged. Both Gordon and Janis are great to deal with - always happy to help with sourcing records that they don't currently have, and they actually pull through & do what they say they are going to do for you. Really lovely people to deal with :)
