Great cake and plain coffees, friendly service with a smile. Flavoured coffees can do with a little less Syrup as it's a bit overpowering but some might like that

I met Lucia for the very first time when I went to Takanini to visit my then friend" who had invited me to come for a little coffee date. I could not get over the display in her cabinet as I had never seen such beautiful little slices and pieces of cake in my life. Her coffees are just incredible and made just perfectly. I can honestly say that her desserts are the best in Auckland. After our coffee date

Very nice ladies serving very good cakes and a wide variety of coffee. Tried a slice of the chocolate cake which was very yummy. The quantity was soo big I was not able to finish.

I ordered a huge cake (for 100 plus guests) for my son's 21st Birthday. I wanted a simple design .. and the wonderful owner at 'The Slice' did an amazing job. We could choose different flavoured layers .. all were delicious .. the red velvet and white chocolate layers were divine. We got so many compliments on the cake.The owner was absolutely lovely to deal with and she took much care creating a beautiful cake (and preparing the cake for travel to the venue).The photo doesnt really do the cake justice.Really great being able to support a wonderful local business. Always such a pleasure to see lucia and her mum. Delicious cakes (the banana chocolate chip muffin is perfect) delicious coffee but best of all is the smiles and chat from Lucia and her mum. Always find a reason to go back. Would 100% recommend
