2 stars won't be going back their myself and do not recommend the place to others' however the mechanics do have some skills and the price is cheap' unfortunately ya only get what ya pay for... so i recommend paying that little bit more and going elsewhere that is not as dodgy as that particular workshop from my own experiences.

We had an accident nearby, which gave us a flat tyre and caused our bumper to fell off. Quality Mechanical really went above and beyond my wildest expectations to help us sort everything out and get everything fixed! They fixed up the bumper with cable ties and ordered in some new tyres, and then we were able to get back on the road within a few hours. I’m extremely grateful for their help and will definitely come back here again if I ever have any more car troubles in Dunedin. Highly recommended!!!

If you want an easy wof on your vehicle then this is the place for you. Good customer service too.

I was highly recommended this place when I was looking for a mechanic to take my car in to get looked at. Good customer service for the most part, staff were friendly and easy to talk to. However, they did work on my car without asking me first. The car was only meant to be looked at and so to have work done on the car without asking is frustrating and came at an extra cost that.I do not recommend

Fantastic best service and price in town

Can't say I'm happy with my experience at Quality Mechanical. Just bought a new car which shuddered quite violently when leaving first gear. When i bought it the advice was that it needed a new clutch; got another opinion who said that it was the slave cylinder. Brought the car to QM for a second opinion and told them that I wanted the shuddering fixed and presented both sets of advice I'd been given. QM determined that the clutch was fine and changed the slave cylinder. That didn't fix it so they then changed the engine mount. That didn't fix it so I called up, was told it must be another engine mount and would get back to me with a price, of which never happened. Took the car elsewhere for a third opinion, and was told immediately that it did need a new clutch (which has fixed the shuddering). When I questioned QM about this I was told that the engine mount needed doing anyway and that I told" them to change the cylinder. Not what happened - I told them that my car shudders on take off and one person said it was a clutch issue
