Awesome evening at Kingi on Thursday! Bustling ambience but not intrusive to you and your company. Waiters and waitresses were attentive, maitre de on door was lovely and friendly. We ended up ordering a number of anti pasti plates and they certainly did not disappoint, and couldn’t help but order the tagliatelle. If you’re a lover of good pasta, highly recommend!Would definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Keen to come back for more, and even to perhaps sit around the beautiful bar next time.

We had dinner here and it was a great experience. The food was amazing, the flavours were incredibly good. There was also a vegetarian dish on the menu. The restaurant is modern and the staff were professional. Highly recommend if you like seafood.

Good but not for a Kingi. The service was fast (but suspiciously fast). Some items were good, but there could be improvement. The clams in the pasta weren't as clean (still sandy) and I'm aware this is a seafood restaurant but the vege dises could be a bit more exciting.

It's a pleasure to visit Kingi just for the ambience. They've really gone the extra mile in terms of making it a tasteful and stylish venue. The food was also excellent (though you definitely need to like fish!). The mussels were particularly good. The service was friendly and attentive.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. Actually whoever did your design fit-out has a fantastic eye for detail that takes you into a unique place and that translates into your food selections.Highly recommend the King tasting selection and adding the wine matches. The service is attentive and informative. Well done to your team you work together beautifully. Your meals are cleaver and your signature dishes are well considered, presented with flavor and flare that is well above your Auckland competitors, a welcome surprise.Everything I tried was well balanced and delicious, top effort to the chef and your team you kept me ingredient guessing.I also love your ethos passion for New Zealand's best hand sourced produce supporting specialist local people with home grown sourced productivity. That is super special. I encourage you to keep pushing your knowledge and dream in this area.Thank You for caring and delivering your special selections with pride and confidence. Ture beauty in food.I look forward to returning.

First time at Kingi. We had the taste of kingi set menu. My favorite dish was the flounder. Overall most of the seafood dishes were done well. My least favorite was the venison neck. I found the meat a bit dry and tough (cooking this part of the animal is probably quite challenging). Another little feedback I have is that perhaps the staff can be trained to explain the composition of each dish a bit better considering this is a tasting menu. I think I will be back again but will probably stick to their seafood next time.

Fabulous place! The staff are wonderful. The restrooms are beautiful. And the food was amazing! We love that the fishermen & women are listed on the back of the menu to highlight how fresh the seafood is and supporting local fishing businesses.
