Odessy Buses

The owner/operator Michael Hooker damaged my drive way on 2 Jan 2017 by driving in too fast in a reckless & careless manner. The rail where my gate slides on is so bent out of shape the gate can no longer be closer. To date he has not made any attempt to pay for the damages, he's apologised, yet he wants to sort this out thru the disputes tribunal. This guy was dodgy from the time I contacted him for a last minute family trip to Parakai. He quoted $750 but offered to charge only $600 if I paid in cash, which I did as the cheapest quote I got so close to Christmas. DO NOT HIRE A BUS THRU THIS GUY, HE'S NOT TO BE TRUSTED PLUS HIS OLD BUSES NEED A MAJOR UPGRADE! BEWARE!!

He was very helpful and I recommended him for anyone is looking for bus charters our church use him all the time

Poor consideration for local residents as this owner parks his buses, Jeep, camper trailer on Redcastle Drive which causes significant risks to other motorists, as the height of the buses creates blind spots in a turning circle road (such as Redcastle Drive = ring road).Park your commercial beasts on commercial grounds! It is just part of business expenses, but now it is at our expense!

In April 2017, my soccer team - West Coast Winos - used Michael's company to transport our team to and from the various pitches during the World Masters Games. Michael was so reliable, punctual and flexible.When I first contacted him we didn't even know what days we would be playing let alone our actual playing time. He even held a bus in reserve for us as we went further in the tournament and didn't know whether or not we would need transportation until we won our next game.He and his drivers were personable and professional right up until the last day when we won silver! Thank you Michael for your lovely services in dealing with you in organizing 3 x buses for just pick up and drop off (on time of the locations provided)for our BIG Family Reunion from Avondale, Auckland to Marsden Bay Christian Camp site on the 29.12.17 & 2.01.18. Reasonable, affordable prices too after shopping around with other bus companies!!I would highly recommend your services:-)

We booked Odessy for our wedding in January months in advance. They were very quick to quote and, when I mentioned I was worried about the driveway they would be traversing for the venue, they assured me this would be fine and could use a smaller bus at no cost.It now being November, I emailed again about the driveway and payment. When I was not keen to pay 100% of the cost one month before and asked about the driveway, they pulled out of the booking less than two months before our wedding and have not responded to me.I would not recommend this company to anyone. Helpful up front, and then highly unprofessional. Better to pay a bit more and know you're getting a good service - cheaper is not always better!

Owner is friendly. On the day of our wedding the wrong driver turned up, the bus clutch was broken and the driver had to forcefully grind his way there. The driver then got lost on the way to the venue and a guest had to ask for directions.Could have been a one off bad day but we also hired a bus through a well known company on the same day with no issues. On the plus side someone was sick on the bus and I wasn't charged for it.I guess you could say it was entertaining but not ideal for a wedding day.

You truly are a great person it saddens me to see these reviews I guess they don't see you as many many people do. Thank you Odessy for returning to pick up our students when the cricket match was rained out. Driver Wiremu kept us safe and happy and put up with our out of tune singing.

Michael has been such a blessing for us!Every school holiday he takes our Holiday Programme across town, and he is incredibly selfless and reliable. We will continue to use him for as long as we can!
