An innovative approach to Public Toilets. You have to follow the instructions and make sure you don’t press the button when you do your business.Also, a great place of entertainment for watching people figure out how the toilet works.

High-tech toilet which will automatically flush when you: wash your hands, or opens the door; however, it will only gives you maximum 10 minutes before it automatically unlocked and open. This is also the only public toilet in the area; including the Church of the Good Shepherd area. Easily found with the sheeps photo on the outside; even easier when you're on foot. During the busy season, the toilets aren't as clean as it should be.

State of the art toilets with touch buttons, music and a 10 minute time limit of use. It's relatively clean and well maintained. It's probably one of the not so many toilets nearby so drop by if you're in a hurry.

A surprised must visit in Tekapo. But the truth is, it is a high tech disasters like provided by HAL from 2001. Nearly fully automatic futuristic system take over your toilet experience; Doors are always closed either it is occupied or not. It actually trapped flies with you; There is no button to flush. It takes one’s patience to read the instruction to realise that the flush is triggered by water tap; Over 10 minutes stay in the pod triggers very serious alert like the world is ending. Very funny experience.

After reading such wonderful reviews, we decided to resist the urge to void earlier and save it all for here. It's free and almost handsfree but overall we were a bit underwhelmed because it was lacking basic cleanliness. The area is beautiful though.

Just an awesome toilet. Almost hands-free. Just a few pointers though: (i) a yellow-green NOT a red light means its occupied; (ii) 10 minutes maximum per use - after which the stall opens; (iii) urinal stall will not lock even if there is a person inside, it's more of a common urinal so guys be prepared to share (iv) don't worry about flushing, just wash your hands after and it'll flush by itself.
