Rocky Mountain Chalets

Absolutely highly recommend staying here. The hosts were amazingly helpful and so friendly. The chalet was amazing, so warm, clean and comfortable. I have absolutely no problem recommending to others. Thanks for having us.

Really liked this place, so handy for Ohakune (walking distance) and well laid out. Great chalet and well kitted out, nice, clean and tidy as well. Great service from the site manager - needed a chair with back support and he came up with the solution pretty quickly. Ideal location to stay if you're skiing or going out on the bikes, lots of places nearby for both.

Spa chalets are 100% worth getting. We where in it every spear second. Accommodation is lovely and spacious. Close enough to walk to town and enough parking by each chalet for 2 cars. Clean accommodation and in a good spot. I'll be back next winter for sure.

Having travelled in north island for a week and this is the best local property we have stayed so far.- Clean and spacious. Room are warm and comfortable.- Good Wifi- Carrot park is just the next door + quite a few good restaurants in the town.- Kitchen and Washing Machine - free to use~~Overall a very pleasent place to stay for the road trip. Love it.

Came here to stay while in Ohakune for the night. When we arrived here there was no one at check-in so we had to call them and it took them 20 minutes to arrive so we could be checked in. The staff at check-in were also rude. Once we got to our room it was clean and tidy however this deffintley is not 5 star accommodation as they claim and i found it to be very overated. The room also lacked basic amenities such as shampoo and fresh milk. Another issue was that the wifi in the unit was also very slow and was not up to today's standards. Also the carport attached to these units is completely useless as it is way to narrow and half of it is blocked by a set of steps. Overall I will not stay here again and I would not recomend it.

The Chalet was large clean and tidy. The chalet had a fully equipped kitchen. Staff were friendly on checkin and provided good knowledge of the area, activities and restaurants.

A family 'Vintage'railway trip spending a couple of nights at Ohakune seemed like a good idea for a bit of a getaway as it were. What we were not expecting was discovering the Rocky Mountain Chalets. Super clean and tidy and very comfortable. A really great place to just blob out . A goods nights sleep is assured.Although it required a 10 minute walk in to Ohakune we saw that as being part of our weekend adventure -different. The owner /manager picked us up from the railway station and returned us back.Two trips both ways because of the numbers-no sweat .Great service which highlighted what Ohakune is successfully achieving as a destination not only for the skiers.A great week end experience . We were 18 of us (including kids) who stayed at this place for the Matariki '22 long weekend. The chalets were kept warm and cozy upon our arrival. The place had all the amenities that is needed and above all was the privacy no connecting chalets where you hear your neighbours!The owner's were kind and helpful. Recommend this place on your next visit to Ohakune.
