This is a wonderful gallery with excellent Māori artwork, ornaments and jewelery for sale. Great place to buy pounamu for gifts/koha. Pieces are from countless artists from around the country, including incredible prints for sale. You pay for what you get, and what you get here is quality. Expect to pay a bit more for beautiful taonga that you'll cherish for a lifetime!

This is the most beautiful store/gallery of indigenous art works in Wellington. Well worth a visit particularly if sending Christmas gifts overseas :-)

Absolutely excellent gallery with local artists and unique items. The variety and authenticity is great. The prices are quite high on most prices however-so keep that in mind.

Very good collection of local art of various types, to include jewelry and clothing items. There are even a few children's books focusing on Maori culture. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating as well. If you're looking for local art and jewelry from Aotearoa, this is definitely the place.

If you are looking for authentic Māori art, jewelry and craft work then this is the place to go. Wonderful pieces both traditional and modern and many will come with a small biography about the artist. This is my go to place for purchasing pounamu as there is great variety for all budgets, they are high quality and I know that I am supporting a local Māori artist.

I might be repetitive with so many good comments about this gallery. And that's true.I've been there twice looking for gifts for my family/friends back home. Both times, I felt very emotional and amazed by the pieces of art displayed. It's just like you can tell every single item was made with love and affection.Plus, the staff was always helpful and open to any help and kind conversations.I totally recommend a visit.
