Akaroa Recreation Ground
Great freedom camping on the northeast part of the recreation ground. The spots are clearly marked with the blue self-contained stickers. Drinking water near the skate park, and flush toilets a little further south. When we arrived around 4 PM on a Wednesday, lot was half full, and it was completely full by 6 PM.

Great freedom camping area.. 18 parks, 2 nights in 30days.. lovely wee bay nearby.. walks.. close to town. Seats under trees for relaxing. Bell birds in trees.. really nice.

A lovely area with surrounding views that are virtually unrivalled. Great to see the sun set from here.The light up paddle boards were out tonight - Definitely need to add that one to the ‘to-do’ list.

Great freedom camping spot, toilets handy, lovely view of the bay, close to shops. Giant's Garden a must see.

Awesome place ,, got clean toilets , recycling bins and a bbq for the public to use . You have Ocean 50 mtrs to one side and the main street the other side . 18 motorhome park's, full size not just big enough for vans at another end . Also got a mini golf , Jurassic Park, steam park theme .
