do not recommend genensis at all. customer service is really rude. tried with different customer service people, got same attitude, very rude, no patient to explain or repeat. they cut my power by cutting the cable from meter box, I have to spend 5 times extra money to get their people to come on site to connect cable. very bad experience with Genesis. Rubbish!!!

Beware of their billing errors. I was charged twice the amount of gas bottle hires on two separate occasions. First time they credited the amount the second time no one has bothered getting back to me. Customer service is non existent now that they are on a weekday only limited hours schedule. Icing on the cake is they increased the gas bottle price on my current bill without communication at all. I then receive an email saying gas bottle prices will increase in October and they have already charged me for it. Don’t trust their billing make sure to check before paying.

Wow....very poor reviews...wished hv checked reviews before switching to them...havent ordered first bottle yet since the switch as old providers bottle has not run out...also saw review they dont return bottles to old providers n getting charged to that too?one star coz i am worried and anxious what gonna happen for next year (contract)

Poor customer service. Ordered gas three days ago and told it will not arrive today because the 'truck is full'. So no hot water and no gas for the fire in the middle of one of the coldest weeks of winter. We had this issue last year also. Genesis needs to increase resources to actually do the job we are paying for - have gas delivered when needed. Increased demand in the middle of winter shouldn't be a surprise to them.

Waited an hour on phone to talk to someone about gas bottle delivery. Ordered on Friday and still no bottle delivered by the next Wednesday. Rang and was put on hold after talking to a lady and she told me they could not give me a delivery date this week. Could be up to 10 days without a gas bottle. Pathetic.

switch from Elgas to Genesis energy in Feb. Genesis energy took two gas bottles from my home and should return to Elgas. Genesis energy never return the two bottles back Elgas. Now I received an invoice from Elgas for $136. I called Genesis energy for two weeks no solution.

totally rubbish, they keep charging me for gas after 8 days I told them I move out of the house. will swap to other company, never used it again.

Ordered a gas bottle around 8.30am Tuesday i expected it too be delivered on the next delivery day for my area which is Wednesday, it got too 3.30pm I enquired as to why it hadn’t been delivered yet and apparently it wont be delivered until Friday. What sort of third world company is this? But if i pay $200+ I can have it delivered today. Totally unacceptable and poor service. Not too mention last time i ordered 2x gas bottles and only 1x was delivered. I swear this company only partially fills the bottles so you have to buy more. 100% would not recommend!! Gas bottles should be getting delivered to all parts of town Monday thru to Friday in a big city like Christchurch.

I'd give them a zero star if I could. Genesis's incapability costed my business thousands of dollars loss, they can't do even their most basic jobs properly,
