Poor quality, unprofessional, unresponsive and incompetent

Reliable builders

Pepper Constuction was lined up to build me a shed with half habitable and consented. Spent considerable time and money and effort to come down from Auckland twice to organize it and meet with Pepper staff to make sure we were on the same page. Was given a price they could build it for. Months later the Manager rung me up and said the price had changed by about 33%. The reason... the lady doing the talking didn't know what she was on about. This was pre covid and price hikes. The whole situation cost me months and in that time I lost my pre approved mortgage. Andrew Pepper was barely apologetic and almost mocking in nature. I did months later meet in person and he was amicable and asked me what my poison was, but never went out of his way to buy me a nice bottle of single malt for right royaly F##king me over. Complete waste of time.

Great ability to pivot when changes of circumstances required design changes. Easy to work with and friendly staff.

My parents are currently building a home with Pepper Construction and it has gone amazingly well. Considering in the past month my mother had a stroke (and we had to change layouts to suit) they were so compassionate and ready to help. They have made our family’s lives so much easier during this time. I would highly recommend this team.

I met one of the trade staff from this company in a local building merchant I was very surprised by the poor attitude towards me and how he spoke to me I didn't know him obviously not a very intelligent person and would not recommend this company
