Trainee tried his best but had a lack of knowledge, which another worker, called Matthew (who I believe to be manager) provided no assistance to trainee or myself apart from highlighting the trainees inadequacy. This was extremely disappointing to witness a manager essentially degrade a trainee in front of us.

Do not go here if you are a female. I walked in looking for specific components for a personal project only to be talked down to by a worker who assumed I knew nothing. The real kicker was when I went to pay, after asking if I was a club member asked whoever I was buying the components for was a member... The worker totally made me feel like women should not be allowed to do any form of electronics even if they are a fully qualified engineer >:(

Great place. Kai was super helpful. Had a problem with a security system that I bought in Auckland. Took to Jaycar in Palmerston North, and he sorted it all out. 5 star customer service.

Terrible. Store manager was too busy stacking a shelf to be courteous and palmed me off to sales staff (who were brilliant). Jaycar….you need to find a store manager with basic people skills!

I have visited Jaycar in Palmerston North on several occasions and have to say the customer service is top notch! I was looking to purchase a set of solar panels for my vehicle and Byron went above and beyond to provide information about the products, as well as correct installation and handy tips. I will definitely be returning for future purchases.
