First time visiting, felt very welcomed. Huge selection of board games and other tabletop games. Staff were friendly and approachable. Nice to find a place like this. Will definitely visit again.

I stopped in on holiday a couple times to pick up some minis and play a little magic while away. The owner Chris is a legend, funny, welcoming and super friendly and fun to have a chat with. Whether you're a Chch local or a visitor from abroad do yourself a favour and stop in at the Wizards Retreat!

A store like no other. Stimulate yours or your friends souls. Try something new and learn a new game, you won't find greater community or support. Find a new thing, and live in the now. Best shop in Christchurch for Games Workshop, Magic, and 100's of other games.

Chatted with the owner who has been rearranging the enormous collection of miniatures on their slat wall. He was busy but took the time to talk geeky with us. Very pleasant chap.The selection of board games was out of this world! The selection of Warhammer was out of this world.This should be your first stop when looking for geek stuff in Chch.
