Inspections

Worst service I have experienced with any company ever. Engaged A Grade to complete an inspection on a car I was looking to purchase. The first phone call should have been a warning when the person I spoke to (Ken) was unhelpful, grumpy and rude. I went ahead anyway and gave him the details of the car dealer and location. He phoned back about two hours later extremely angry and rude advising that the car dealer wasnt there for him to view the car - turns out he hadnt bothered to call the number to check if the dealer was there (turns out the dealer was at a a funeral and wouldnt be back until after lunch). Then proceeded to blame me and got angrier and angrier. I tried to call the car dealer who advised he would be back after lunch time and the car could be viewed then. Rang Ken back to advise who basically said I had wasted his time and as a result he refused to do the car inspection but would be charging my credit card in full for the inspection ($161.00) which he did - unbelievable. Fortunately enough for me you cant do that (basically theft from my point of view) so I was able to seek the return of my funds through my bank. I would recommend no one ever deals with this company, especially Ken, and uses AA or VTNZ.

Awful experience- the mechanic was rude, in a rush and uncommunicative, refused to talk me through anything that was written on the inspection sheet, and the car that I bought after his pre-purchase inspection has a hole host of problems that weren't pointed out on the sheet. Would not recommend using them.

Awful guy to deal with, rude grumpy and unwilling to discuss anything after the inspection. His vehicle report said needs a service, when I got to car after flying up from the South Island I discovered that meant the coolant is at its lowest and the oil is half empty, this was in a car that had only done 23500 kms...this turned out to be lucky as it led me to look for the oil leak where I also found that the car had been resprayed underneath and that the spare wheel was completely rusted, which was not mentioned in the report of in the phone call I had after he had done it. I've wasted over $400 on flights and a ferry crossing as well the $161 I paid to Ken

I didn't feel I could trust the inspection - the mechanic was very unprofessional and seemingly did a rushed job having now experienced the work of other mechanics. There was a severe lack of communication - I didn't even get a name until I received the email containing the report. The email have no subject and contained a jpg of the report with absolutely no indication of who it was from. It went to my junk mail and looked like spam. I had to call to confirm it was from him.Afterwards I was able to discuss the report with him but the overall experience was very poor and left me unsure of what I paid for.
