Wow, what a weekend. We needed the Ambulance out twice :(Both times the Ambulance Staff were professional, friendly and easy to work with. Their level of commitment to the people is over and above, simply A+I cannot fault the service and response received, doing a great job

Called the ambulance reluctantly at 12am, paramedic arrived and stood in my doorway while I couldn’t move out of bed. Flat mate had to get me up and walk me to the ambulance. Paramedic asked if I had money for a Uber back, and told my flatmate not to bother coming with me as I wouldn’t be long.Wouldn’t allow me to lie on the bed, had to sit in the chair after explaining my abdomen was very sore and sitting up made it worse.Dropped me at sidewalk down from ED doors, to which reception came out concerned with a wheelchair, while ambulance drove away.Immediate triage and emergency surgery within 12 hours at Wellington hospital.Overall, the paramedic seemed to not believe me, and was quite frankily just annoyed to have to take me to the hospital. Made me feel even worse. If I had decided not to go, my appendix would’ve have likely burst in the following 48 hours.As a young, alone and frightened teenage girl, I was left feeling like I was being dramatic, and nearly discharged myself from the ED because of this experience.

Super helpful, managed to calm me down heaps in a stressful situation.We’re super helpful and did not make me feel guilty for calling up about breathing problems that were COVID related.If I wasn’t positive, I would’ve given them a hug cause they put me at ease and were very professional the whole time. Fantastic service, job well done.

Support Wellington Free Ambulance Service, one day it may save your life or those who are close to you.How about REALLOCATING a good portion of the $20 BILLION BUDGET earmarked by the govt. for defence" (from what??) yesterday into services that are so much more DESERVING OF MORE FUNDING such as hospitals

I am pregnant with underlying condition and have covid with . I was very I’ll and advised by doctor to call ambulance. The rude female with curly hair obviously hates woman. She had attitude the whole time. I was told my partner and sick child would have to drive me to hospital because the woman was “not gonna clean the truck just so YOU can get ahead in the que” that’s one of many insults she gave me while I could t breath and felt I was dying it was disgusting how dare her come to my home and treat me like that when I’m on deaths door she is in wrong profession and needs to go how many people does she do this too? I’m lucky I made it to hospital with no help from this joke of a company I’m disgusted

We needed to call the Wellington free ambulance yesterday for my husband who was not well The two guys who attended were absolutely brilliant .The bedside manner was tremendous and put us both at ease. All the way to the hospital they were reassuring and friendly .you guys do agreat job Once again thank you so very very much .Babu and Kamla Masalawalla Alicetown .

rude staff, got sent an ambulance from a nurse because of bad and worsening covid symptoms. staff acted like I was annoying and was condescending for getting them sent out, checked on me for less than 10 mins because I ‘seemed fine’ and left. would not take me like nurses had requested, so drove myself to the hospital. ridiculous

Never had an ambulance called for me before. These guys are awesome and great at what they do. I will be donating as often as possible to keep this amazing service running. Thanks again Sam and Richard

What a unique and fabulous service. They have helped family and friends out over the years and we are very grateful to them. Did you know they cover right up to the Kapiti and Wairarapa regions as well. As this is a free service, WFA love donations and help too. The 2019 annual street appeal is coming up so if you have time please help them out. I cant speak highly enough of such a great service.
