the most inept of all government departments. Myir is full of flaws and errors. how can i pay you what i owe when you wont let me pay it? YOURE A GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT, YOU SHOULD UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO MAKE ANY KIND OF ERROR. your managers should be sacked for even allowing these mistakes" to happen and replaced with ones that instill a fear-based culture - after of course the sacked managers are subjected to 20 minutes of public screaming

Did not answer phone- so no way for people without internet access to make inquiries-Even in a covid environment this is incredibly arrogant and cannot possibly serve all people equally. Inland revenue continue to disappoint

Have tried to call IRD everyday for 2 weeks and it keeps telling me they are busy with people who are needing assistance due to COVID-19 and cannot answer my calls.

Absolutely useless service, tell me to ring up to Activate my account, then when I do just tells me they are busy and hangs up. what a waste of my time. 0/10

About as bad as it gets. Went through the automated options thing, and then essentially the robot said they’re too busy to answer and cut me off! No wonder everyone HATES IRD. No customer service whatsoever! 100% useless!They need to realise that the options offered both on line and on the phone are often NOT what the caller is wanting to ask. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

On Friday and Monday I tried to make a phone call to discuss an issue within business hours. On both occasions I was told, with no alternative suggested, to use the self service mechanism due to too many incoming calls. Why pretend to have a phone service when you don't!!! Previously as least you could book a phone call. This is a terrible service.
