Great place, friendly, Fish was best I’ve had for quite some time, the batter is absolutely amazing, kinda between a crumb and a batter you find elsewhere, You can actually see and taste the fish, since it’s not hidden in 1” thick batter… definitely be back soon, hopefully.

Best fish and chips in Kaikoura at amazingly affordable price. Fish was really fresh and the batter so delicious! We devoured our food in minutes. Awesome service too, I think if you bring your catch they can have it fried for you as well.

What a lovely little place. Charming interior decor, clean kitchen, super friendly staff and a big heater on the wall. The chips were next level! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, delicious.Handy stopping spot 2 hours from Picton. Clean Public toilet over the road.

Randomly stopped to use the public toilet across the road and then decided to give the fish and chips a go. We got a piece of fish, a hot dog and some chips....so glad we did! The quality of the food was excellent, quite possibly one of the best serves of fish and chips I've ever had.

Fantastic little place with excellent service. The food was perfect. The batter was thin & crispy, the fish was fresh and melted in your mouth, the chips were crispy on the outside and soft & fluffy on the inside. Perfect set up outside with bbq tables and a quiet end of the street where you could sit outsjde and eat your dinner. Will definitely be referring friends & family here. We will definitely visit here again.

Very small fish, very small scoops of chips! Not much change from $40 for 4 fish 2 scoops! Probably enough food for 2 people! Not a family of 5!Taste was good, just not the value or serving size.

Great service, lovely guys, even suggested we try chicken salt on it for free which was really tasty! Sadly they were out of blue cod but they're popular for a reason. Best to get fish here as there's only one shop in town and there's always a queue for that. Also this has great opening hours (see photo).

Wow, just shy of 60 yo and I have just eaten THE best burger ever. The burgers in the States, Aussie, UK and everywhere in NZ are just OK but seriously NOTHING compares to the Bacon and Egg burger from the Top Shop in Kaikoura. MAGNIFICENT!
