Honestly, if you want to cross over to the other island, use Interislander and not Bluebridge. When we arrived to check in, they told us the ferry had an hour delay. It ended up being almost 2 hours. The boat had a lot of sway when we crossed back to Wellington, even though the sea wasn't that rough. I never had these problems with Interislander

For a walk on customer, it’s not a comfortable setup.Unfortunately we were travelling when both services were having interruptions, bluebridge only told us last minute that our 7pm ferry departing Picton would now be leaving at 2am. With nowhere to stay or go, we walked into interislander and were given tickets to board the next ferry.I’d definitely be avoiding blueridge next time, interislander seems much more setup for passengers. Maybe bluebridge excels with cars and freight, which a can’t review them for!
