You will have to cross streams in the road to get to this campsite but it is well worth it, right by a black sand beach, lots of close by walks and the views are incredible

The road into this remote place, if you can call it a road, is shocking! Not suitable for motorhomes. Stream to ford. Very rough, full of big potholes.Camp is tidy with nice sheltered seating area.

Very basic campsite, boiling the water is recommended. Long drop toilet, and open shelter for eating and cook. Handy place to stop if riding the bog coast loop over 2 days. No shops within 40km plus.. Take all you need

Lovely experience. Plenty of private corners to setup your tents and park your vehicle. Campfire is allowed in this site (exceptions may apply). Water tap is there for basic washings. Beach is in front of the campsite. You can find some firewood there as well.

Fantastic location, busier than expected but it was new year's eve. Beautiful scenery, tucked in trees native Bush and the bay right st your door front. Dolphins close in the bay enjoying a feed every morning we were there. Felt very spoilt. Definitely revisiting at a quieter time.

Best to go with a high vehicle( UTE) definitely not for big campers maybe a HIACE or similar.Cant wait to go there to camp. Not many spaces but seems sheltered from the weather. Nice open kitchen. Toilets are there. Must have been a massive slip a while ago round the one river gorge. Just a amazing place. Funny enough the south island looks closer

Cool little camground. Ample of shady spots. Camp in the forest but next to coast. Great for fishing and family time. Basic clean facilities. Not on the tourist route so not so much crowded in peak times.

It's a Campsite, it's got long drops, running water (boil it) and a large table to sit and eat at. The ground is shallow soil on rock base which makes it difficult to peg a tent down. It's also a little uneven. The beach and surrounding public land is excellent though but take care around the public land as its used by hunters to access the rimutaka range.
