Sam the skipper was very knowledgeable, chatty and chilled out. The boat information and ride was great. Amazing work gone in to restoring it to it's former glory. Perfect experience for a lovely spring day in Whanganui.

A very enjoyable cruise on the Whanganui on a beautifully restored boat with a highly informative commentary from our skipper, Sam. We really enjoyed the trip and our conversation with Sam who is passionate about the river, its history and his beautifulriver boat. The trip was a highlight of our Whanganui visit, highly recommend.

A great trip up the river with Sam. Very professional, competent, and informative. Had a very nice 1 hour stop at Upokongaro village, meeting with some locals and enjoying a coffee at the cafe. Highly recommended trip.

What an awesome tour, Sam was a talking goggle encyclopedia of information, if only I could retain half of his knowledge it would be priceless. I would thoughly recommend for anyone to do this tour with Sam the skipper, highly enjoyable and informative. Best of luck with the book Sam.

We went on the boat to Hipango Park for a picnic outing what an amazing day out Sam the skipper and Mel first mate were awesome his knowledge of the river and its history made for an informative trip lovely scenery and a beautiful spot to picnic could cruise the river every weekend.I highly recommend that you take the time to chill out on the boat and enjoy the day out I'll be definitely going again in the future

An affordable and enjoyable way to experience the Wanganui River, and to hear about some of the local history. The boat captain was both friendly and professional and we had complete confidence in his charge of the vessel. Would highly recommend this experience if you are visiting the area and have a few hours to spare.
