I found New Zealand Private Tours on google, and Kathy was one of the most responsive and transparent travel agents I looked into. Kathy was just as responsive and transparent while planning our trip. She took our wish list of types of experiences and transformed it into a wonderful trip personalized to us. She accommodated change requests with ease and no-questions-asked. We traveled around both the North and South islands without renting our own car, and she coordinated everything so travel was seamless. While in New Zealand, she checked in on us periodically, which was much appreciated. I cannot recommend New Zealand Private Tours highly enough!

Kathy planned such an amazing itinerary for us to get to know New Zealand! We did not have to worry about anything and was able to enjoy our honeymoon to the fullest! We would not have thought of going to some of the places if we planned it on our own. Highly recommend! No regrets!

I highly recommend NZ Private Tours. They devised a comprehensive, individualized itinerary of the S. Island that I would not have been able to do on my own. They were collaborative in creating an itinerary of tours and experiences, and provided personal and personable service, taking care of all the details. Cathy and Wayne have extensive knowledge of the country and provided interesting, knowledgeable and comprehensible commentary about New Zealand and its history. All accommodations were great and, when my personal itinerary on the N. Excellent service from NZ private tours! Kathy was able to prepare the perfect itinerary for my family. She was able to hit all our bucket list places and even include more experiences i wouldn’t even have thought of adding to our trip. She’s definitely an expert in her field. Celebrating 60 years of marriage demanded a very special vacation. Kathy listened to our requests, interests, and demands and produced an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. From Auckland to Queenstown and Milford Sound we enjoyed a private guided tour of a most beautiful land. But even Paradise has the occasional rainstorm or wind. Kathy was ready to check-mate the weatherman and adjust the plans. Her biggest challenge was managing the news (before we arrived in New Zealand) that my wife had developed a rare allergy called Alpha-Gal, which meant she could not eat meat or dairy products. Kathy alerted every chef on our itinerary, and they were all prepared to meet her dietary issues.

We couldn’t have had a more memorable, exciting, or epic experience! She is the absolute best! Five stars in every way!

This trip has been a delight as curated by Kathy Hanson and nzprivatretours. With every step of the planning process and the on-site activities, Kathy monitored and adjusted as necessary due to changing weather conditions or pickup times or our individual needs once in-country. The high quality hotels she recommended were delightful and welcoming. Similarly, the scheduled airport transfers, guides and tours were on-time, of high quality and enjoyable. We just had the most amazing trip to Australia and New Zealand with Kathy from New Zealand private tours. Everything was smooth and effortless. From our elegant bed and Breakfast hotels to our amazing guides, we saw and did some amazing and unique things. We were limited on time, but we still wanted to see everything we could fit in our 3 week vacation, Kathy managed it perfectly. In Queenstown she was our guide for the day. It was a beautiful day and she was able to arrange a helicopter ride to Earnslaw Burn at a moments notice.We spent so much time planning our once in a lifetime vacation, it’s nice to actually meet our travel agent in person. This is why I like to use travel agents that actually live in the country we are visiting. I find locals will know the area better than anyone.If you want a unique experience, I highly recommend Kathy!
