Giltrap Newmarket

Wouldn’t touch Giltrap ever again, asked specific questions around parts availability before purchasing were assured parts were available in the country (asked specifically due to current global supply issues). We are now 4 months without our vehicle due to the lies of Giltrap representation just to make a sale.

My 83 year old mother had an experience with Schofield's Newmarket which I thought was worth commenting about.She needed a new car and I had a look online and found a couple small cars with low mileage at Schofield's Newmarket.Mum bused in and bought a Toyota Vitz with 1,700km on the odometer for $16,600.Perfect near new small car for an independent elderly person.Unfortunately here's where the customer service or lack-there-of became an issue. We noticed that the car had a small hole in the front bumper where an aerial had been broken.I thought this would be a simple and quick issue to resolve considering mum had bought the car two days ago and it wasn't obvious in the online advertising that there was this problem.I spoke to the manager Andrew and he said that as the aerial was an after market part they couldn't do anything about it. He asked me what resolution I wanted, I said for it to be fixed, he said he couldn't do this.Mum drove in to see them, again they said they couldn't help.I think we both just wanted Schofield's Newmarket to show some goodwill to a new customer and offer to take the car and resolve the problem.As I explained to the manager Andrew this didn't make me feel like mum's custom of their business was valued, nor would I tell other people that we've had a good experience dealing with Schofield's Newmarket.If you're buying a second hand car from them make sure you have a really good look at it as they might not stand behind any issues which you find after you've paid for it!I emailed General Manager Blaine Barrat about below concerns. He said he'd talk to sales Manager Andrew and get back to me ... never heard back.Great car, just disappointing after sales service.

Take my 90s JDM Nissan here for all WOFs and services. My vehicle is always well treated and the work usually gets completed within the day. I organise in advance and always get a courtesy vehicle, which is generally a nice late model vehicle. Was quite happy to get a newish Nissan Juke to use for the day. The team are overall helpful and pleasant and happy to answer my questions. If you own a Nissan I can recommend this dealer and this service department.

Always a pleasure dealing with the service department here. Today i was met at the door with a warm welcome like an old friend would do. Car is always returned clean and tidy. Highly recommend the service department.

Poor service from the workshop at Giltrap, Alexis who organised everything was great but that’s where it ended. Poor communication and got the run around.

Very last minute emergency, they fitted me in and then were very understanding when the fault just vanished anyway (as I was driving there). Usual excellent service and friendly helpful staff.

Been using these guys for many years now 2 service my Isuzu truck and always get great service,communication is also very good and accommodating in things like leaving the vehicle there for an extra day or two if i can't get back 2 collect.Also Alexis is outstanding at reception and doing her job 2 a very high standard a real asset 2 this company,knowledgeable and always welcoming,the same can be said about Matt also,2 very good peopleWouldn't and haven't hesitated in recommending using giltrap nmRegards Marc Wilson
