I'm leaving a review, only because that this iconic building in Ngaruawahia has been the victim of a fire. I remember seeing the Delta when I was younger going through NGA on our way to Auckland and also during the coronation and regatta. It will be a miracle if this building will ever be what it once was,like the town. It's quiet now,

We were only in the bar thankfully. It was an awful experience. Had to clean the classes before we used them, very little variety, one red wine option that had been on the shelf for months and when we finally decided on a gin I was first offered tequila and after I pointed out the gin there was no tonic and one opened bottle of soda with a tiny bit of flat soda in the bottom. Needless to say it was gin and ice - no apology or acknowledgment.Do yourself a favour and go to the RSA next door for far better service and a variety of options.

They need to upgrade. Went there during a Saturday visit, unsatisfactory hygiene and service takes too long due to the server we had at the time, games rooms still look like they were in the same state they were left in 48 hours ago, bought a drink, wasn't event worth 1/20th of what I could afford to make myself at home at wholesale prices. Very disappointing time there as of late.
