Vivo Hair Salon Strand Mall

EDIT*Had my hair done at vivo strand mall and wasn’t happy with the outcome especially the colour. It was gold and the stylist missed the ends. However after leaving a review Vivo had gotten in contact with me the same day to re book an appointment at Vivo Rathbone to fix my hair free of charge and I’m absolutely loving the results! Thanks heaps to Amanda!

As I have fine hair, and getting older, I won't go ANYWHERE else to have me hair cut since I found Vivo Salon Strand Mall a few years ago.

I have been to Vivo in The Strand a few times now and had my hair cut and coloured by Sigrid. Every time I go there, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, they make you feel right at home! I had very damaged hair from previous box dyeing, but Sigrid fixed me up and made my hair sparkle again, she listened to what I wanted and I am so happy with the outcome! Would recommend time and time again!!

I've been a client of The Strand Salon for around 20 years and with Marilyn the whole time. She is has gone above and beyond for me and is a really skilled stylist. Such a nice friendly team!

The lovely Sigrid highlights, cuts and styles my hair. I am extremely difficult to please when it comes to highlights, having had highlights for 25 years, so have had the good and the bad! Sigrid has done the best highlights I can remember, also cuts/styles really well too! Lovely, charming and helpful always. Also the other girls Nancy, Tui and Chick are all welcoming and make a visit to this salon a pleasure. Thank you all

I managed a walk-in appointment for a bob haircut - I am an out-of-towner so I didn’t know the salon. My stylist was Chick and she deftly gave me probably the best bob cut I have ever had! If I lived in Whangarei I would be a steady client. Huge recommendation. Thanks!

I made the appt to get old colour taken out, I know by experience that it might not go as light as I want it first go. However having had my hair bleached and coloured many time ( I love vibrant colours) I always use a hair salon to bleach it.I have never had my hair done the way it was done at this salon. The colour strip and actual bleach solution was not the problem. My hair was pulled, teased ripped and not one decent section was done for the bleach to reach each strand of hair, resulting in my hair still having original colour spotted all over. The hairdresser was nice enough but looked like they had no idea how to section hair. My colour strip dried ro much then the bleach was added to my roots by the hairdresser basically slapping it on while trying to pull my hair apart that had the colour strip on. The bleach was not evenly distributed resulting in spotting all over from my roots to mid length. Not happy at all and will not go back. Everyone knows you must section your hair and make sure every strand of hair is covered in bleach.

I have been getting my hair done by Sigrid for about 3 years now. She is wonderful. I always leave more than happy. Her colours are wonderful and she gets my cut right everytime. Thanks Sigrid you are the best.

Asked for a balayage but one shade lighter than my natural dark brown virgin hair. Specifically told the hair stylists that I would appreciate it if I didn’t leave the salon with blonde highlights. They mustn’t have heard me because that is exactly what I left with.
