Countdown Manukau

I came here on the 23/04/23 at around 12pm to buy some snack foods for me and my family when I noticed an Indian female from allied security with white wired earphones had walked past me and went straight to the countdown workers. I was standing in line waiting to pay for my food when they all started staring at me. Then once I got to one of the self check outs they were all watching me scan my food till right when I left. I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I knew I was being judged by what I looked like because of the clothes I wore and because of my looks. It felt as if they were racially profiling me, thinking I was gonna steal. I then kindly asked one of the workers if they had any bags to pack my foods in and she rudely pointed at the bags and walked away. Why should I have to have to be made to feel like a criminal because of your stereotyping!! I’ve never felt so unwelcomed in my life.If I could rate this place zero stars I would but I had to leave a star just to post this.

This place is stunningly clean, their staff are helpful too! I love how i can find what I need easily, clearly labelled stalls. Lots of parking space, and near some great food amenities.

We did our shopping at this store this morning and we're shocked at the fruit and vegetables section. Almost all of prepackaged salads presented for sale were old and past safe consumption and well on their way be being rotten. Sorry, we will be back here again.

This branch is better than the Westfield one. Well stocked and spacious. Plenty of parking including undercover. Well located and convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful. Produce section sometimes is a little bit messy. Normally isn't too busy except during the holidays.

Today around 3:35 I visited this store.Went to deli section and ask for chicken luncheon.The girl who was sweeping the floor on deli section came to serve me, without washing her hands. Put the plastic sleeve which my luncheon will be packed in.I asked her won't you be washing your hands before serving customers food coz you were just sweeping the and didn't washed your hands. She told me that's fine I'm wearing this plastic sleeve.I told her please wash your hands before you serve my food.Just told at home about this incident, my family members told me that the normal practice, as that we all face all the times.This brings to the attention of health and safety which isn't carried out by Countdown and staff hasn't been trained up food safety and health assessment.Every hospitality industry which ds with food, does thus where as Countdown supermarket Manukau has failed in this category.As I saw this store is not responding to any reviews and I'm sure it wont be carried out this one aswell. But I do encourage people who reading this be aware of this.HYGIENE MUST BE SERIOUS

Its a good clean store,bright and open with a few other shops around.Good disabled parking always available in my experience.Close to motorways and GSR.

This is our regular however when I got home I noticed our pasta was full of mould, eggs were broken and mandarins rotten. Pretty disappointing

Nice big store, overall clean and well laid out. Excellent range of products and brands. Shelves are nicely stocked. Shelf tickets and labels for the eggs section should be looked at and sorted appropriately when stock changes. I accidentally bought overpriced eggs because the price ticket was incorrect. I didn't want to harass the staff and didn't have time to step out of line to get different eggs so I paid the extra $4.

The groceries stuff was okay and the price is reasonable. However, this Countdown has some of the rudest racist check-out people I've ever seen. I said Hi how are you"

I enjoy shopping here at night times, it's quiet and I can usually find what I'm looking for. It's great how I can u take the trolley through self check out ( hunters plaza you cant).
