Thanks to Mercury, who closed my Meridian account without any explanation or warning, and forced me to spend an hour on the phone getting it restored. I guess they got their addresses mixed up, but based on this screw up, I will never use Mercury!

Poor customer service. I moved to my new apartment 10 days ago. I have never received any bills yet. They disconnected my electricity connection on a public holiday (ANZAC day) and none of their customer support were answering the calls to resolve the issue. I can understand if people are not working on a public holiday. However, you can’t expect to solve all the issues on regular business hours if you chose to disconnect on non working day. It’s been such a painful experience to not have electricity the whole day. Hope this review helps someone else so they don’t have to face this.

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with John from the customer service team at Mercury, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.The customer service representative who assisted me was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. He was patient and took the time to fully understand my problem, offering helpful and insightful suggestions along the way.Not only did John solve my issue efficiently, but he also made sure to follow up with me to ensure that everything was working as expected. The level of attention to detail and genuine care for their customers is truly rare in today's world and a testament to the high standards set by Mercury.I cannot recommend this John enough. He is a true asset to the company and have earned a lifelong customer in me. Thank you, Mercury team, especially you John, for providing such excellent customer service!Please ignore those other reviews below, they look like spams anyway.

OMG worst customer service ever! Waited for hours on the phone, only to be transferred to another department who hung up on me. Then I tried sending them a message. I got an automated response saying they'll try to get back to me in five days. FIVE DAYS!! Their phone lines aren't available even during the hours they say they are. Their chatbot is useless. Avoid this company at all costs.

Same issues as many others. On hold for 2 hours each time I call, person that finally answers can’t fix my issue but promises someone will call me at a specific time to help, but no one ever calls. I have sent emails but they never reply.I finally got someone to talk to and I told him what I needed. He sent me an email confirming my call but everything was wrong! Wrong address and wrong program. When I told him he said he would fix it and call me right back. I made him promise and he said he would definitely call me back that day to confirm everything was fixed. It’s been over a week and still no response. I don’t think I have a choice other than to go with a different provider.

On a call to report an issue while typing this review for about 20mins now and has been put on hold twice and still waiting. What a horrible service experience. Customer service is also not very pleasant and rather rude.

We all deserve clean, affordable energy and a safe climate. But Gentailers keep burning fossil fuels, and their profits stay high. We need to tax the Gentailers' excess profits and invest it in renewable energy, for a better future for all of us. Clean up your act, Mercury!

I called them five times last week! No-one is picking up the phone... I left my phone number twice so they would call me back...nobody is calling me back...I switch my account to Contact Energy...
