Lumberjack Cafe & Restaurant
What a fantastic experience. Whilst unassuming from the outside, the welcoming staff and the cosy fire made for a great atmosphere. We both had the lumberjack burger which were delicious and generously portioned. The sticky date pudding and chocolate mousse for dessert were stellar too. Topped off with a warm mulled wine, you can’t get better in Owaka.

Me and my partner saw this place open in Owaka looking for somewhere to eat and were very pleasantly surprised. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. The lovely waitress was quick to take our drink orders inform us of specials and bring us water. We both ordered the lumberjack burger. I have dietary requirements and forgot to mention them ordering the food, we quickly realised and informed the waitress who was very quick to correct it and give me alternatives without changing the meal. Very impressed. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, we even ordered dessert and we never do. The dairy free brûlée was very tasty and hit the spot. Would absolutely recommend stopping here for a bite to eat!

Nothing much to see from the outside but that all changes the moment you walk in.Greeted by friendly staff which lead on to an amazing meal.He had the pulled beef roll which he enjoyed.I opted for the salmon and had no idea how much I adored the carlalisation on the edges until I ate it here.Ended up having quite the chat fest with other diners and our hostess shared her local knowledge.Wonderful place.

What a delightful restaurant in such an unexpected place. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The blazing open fire kept us all warm. Would definitely return

Great little restaurant/cafe, we had dinner there our first night in Owaka and before we'd finished the meal had decided we were coming back the next night.My partner is a vegan and they went out of there way to suggest alterations to the menu to give her a range of choices.Food was great, friendly and cheerful service and a nice cosy big fire.Would definitely recommend if your in the neighbourhood.

Arrived late after a full on day of sight seeing. They were closed and the allowed our group of 7 people in. Service, hospitality and food was awesome. Great little spot to grab some good food. Would highly recommend. Thank you for having us last night.

Great place, was driving through on my way to photograph a wedding, staff were super friendly. I got the Lumberjack burger. Was probably one of the best I’ve had.
