HeliServices.NZ Franz Josef (Fox Glacier & Haast)

Words cannot describe how awesome this flight over Fox & Franz Josef glaciers was (including a landing on Fox). Absolutely breath-taking and something that all kiwis should do if they get the chance. Our pilot, Richard, was a top guy & we had a lovely chat to him afterwards. Still buzzing about the whole thing & will be for some time!

This was an unforgettable experience. We arrived in Franz Josef early and they were flexible enough to put us onto an earlier flight. Felt safe the whole time and the snow landing site was spectacular. This is something everyone should experience.

Amazing experience! Definitely not a cheap one, but so very worth it if the trip budget allows it!The company was great. The pilot gave us a lot of information about the various peaks and glaciers we saw during the 25 minute flight, the landing on the glacier was awesome and they took pictures of us for free and communication over the email and phone went smooth!They fly very close to the ground / mountain peaks so you get quite a unique view! One thing that I liked is that after the landing they change the persons siting in front so everyone gets the best views!

HeliServices in Franz Josef is a must in South Island in New Zealand. Franz Josef as a town is a beauty itself and gazing glaciers from city adds more beauty to the town. With the help of HeliServices you can experience the blue ice of glaciers from the nearest possible point. They would take you from Franz Joseph by a helicopter and passing through various landscapes beneath your helicopter you are landed on snow capped mountains. What you see is only 'White fields' around you. That's how you can enjoy the beautiful Glacier without hiking. The pilot offers very detailed guidance throughout the tour. The scenic views from helicopter are amazing

We had a day in Franz Josef with perfect weather so it was an impulse decision to book this flight with Heliservices. The staff were all very professional & friendly.We flew with pilot Richard up the valley, along Franz Josef and then across onto Fox Glacier. The scenery around the glaciers was amazing, both Mt Tasman & Mt Cook clearly visible too. We had plenty of time up on the glacier top to take photos and ask questions before flying back down the valley to land. It really was a fantastic experience and we felt safe and secure the whole time. Highly recommended!

Most amazing helicopter tour of the glaciers in town! Staff was exceptionally helpful, the pilot was skillful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The tours they offer include landing on top of the mountain/glaciers too! We highly recommend this company! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 stars!
