We were recommended to Cedar Doctor NZ by a neighbour who had had the cedar on their house treated and we were impressed with it. Our cedar had badly deteriorated over time and the Cedar Doctor tradesmen did a wonderful job! They had a real problem with the weather but kept us well informed as to when they could come. They were very pleasant, experienced, knowledgeable and cheerful men who worked extremely hard when weather permitted and we are absolutely delighted with the result. After a long search for a cedar work company, we found Cedar Doctor NZ to refinish our tired 21-year-old garage door, gate, front doors and surrounding cedar woodwork. Their refinishing and staining work is immaculate. Cedar Shading is perfect. Despite Covid challenges, this company stuck to their scheduling and always lived up to our hopes and expectations.

I contacted a few companies in December to get a quotation to re-stain our cedar house. Cedar Doctor had responded quickly and given us professional advice on our cedar maintenance. They also fitted us into an available slot before Christmas. The team came punctually. They washed our house first finished the wood oil coating nicely and even washed all our windows afterwards. We are very satisfied with their work and will use them again next time.

The cedar on my house was very weathered and hadn’t been stained for years. I contacted Cedar Doctor to give me a quote to clean it for me. They responded immediately and came out and gave me a very reasonable price to chemically clean it. As I needed it cleaned at a certain time due to building work I was having done, they obliged and fitted in with my time constraints. The two men who came were extremely polite, well mannered and very professional. The cedar was very evenly cleaned and came up looking amazing. I highly recommend Cedar Doctor for any work needing done on your Cedar including staining.

We ware absolutely pleased with the level of workmanship and communications from the Cedar Doctor team for the washing and re-oiling job of the cedar cladding of house. They kept us well informed form quotation up to final delivery, did proper follow up with the scaffolding company (our house is build on a steep slope) and started and completed the project as agreed. Amazing service, I sent photos of my manky looking front door that I couldn't get any painter to touch - it wasn't cedar but that didn't matter (turned out to be Rimu) they said they could refurbish it. They managed to fit me in before Xmas at a really busy time of the year which was amazing. They scraped it right back to the bare wood and once they had it looking pretty good, they then applied Dryden wood stain. I was a bit worried about how it would turn out as it had quite a lot of weathering after 25 years, despite being under a covered carport. I didn't need to worry at all, the door has come up better than new and we are really really pleased with the result. Totally recommend Cedar Doctors.

Martin and the team from Cedar Doctors did a fantastic job on my house’s cedar restoration. I don’t think it has look this good since I bought it 15 years ago, and other companies have cleaned and oiled it in that time! They provided excellent service from beginning to end, great communication and recommendations. My next door neighbour has already been over to ask me who did the work so he can hire them for his house!
