This place is always packed which says a lot about it. It's pub style food so the prices are very reasonable, but there are also restaurant type dishes too.I had the nachos which were great and couldn't finish them all there was so much. My guest had a ribeye steak with their choice of sides. Both meals came around 10 minutes after ordering which is really fast considering most of the tables were full.It would be suitable for families but maybe go earlier as it can get quite loud into the night, it is a pub after all.

I like to come in here off-hours when it's less busy for a late lunch or an early dinner. I had to skip the peach sponge pudding last night because I was so full from the surf and turf with salad and I opted for baked potato and sour cream instead of fries. DELICIOUS !

Super busy night being new years day plus a festival on the water. Very grateful to be seated and fitted in, lovely friendly staff we were looked after very well. Food was plentiful and enjoyed. The cob loaf for entree was superb! The lamb was delicious! Wonderful team thank you!

The following are the lamb meal, steak open sandwich and the chicken ?. Very noisy, hard to hear each other when you're with a big group. Meals are ok. The lamb was great.

Generous portions. Nice location. Had a dinner here. Service was slow since there were a few big groups but all waitresses and staff worked very hard, especially the girl working at the bar, busy but always with beautiful smiles. If you stay in Gisborne for one night. Here is your best bet for dinner.

If your in town, this is the place to stop for a proper bite to eat. Was fully booked when we went so service was pretty slow but we were warned before booking which was much appreciated for both parties I'd say.
