Excellent supermarket with reasonable prices.We shopped here during our 2 week trip to Timaru.Employees were friendly and courteous. We found everything we needed easily.

Waited for ages to get served at lotto gave up did groceries and went back an elderly gentleman was waiting for a while for lotto he pushed the button several times and was abused nastily by a young man who worked there. Absolutely disgusting I walked out and to be honest I do not think I will go back

Great customer service. The staff was helpful and very friendly. However, the store felt so cold. Made the experience really bad. I didn’t stay long and decided to not buy everything I needed as I did not think to bring a jacket. Never needed it for shopping specially on days that weren’t as cold outside. Maybe Foodstuffs need to be less cheap on heating specially in a store where their products are a bit more expensive than other supermarkets .

Some of the younger staff need to be taught the art of oral communication with older customers. They speak too fast, and not loud enough, one can't understand them. It's not their fault, it's the supermarkets, for not training them properly in how to talk to customers. Also, the lotto outlet, sometimes has you waiting too long. The old New World, had a proper kiosk! Way better, however, it's a well stocked supermarket for all that
