Lost Arts Knife Making

Fantastic experience, purchased this day course for my partner and his two friends for their Christmas presents. They had such an incredible time, learnt so much and they each love the knife they made! They spoke so highly of Bruce and his way of teaching, and throughly enjoyed the lunch Anne provided. Thank you so much for creating such a memorable day.

Such an amazing experience. The small class sizes allow for 1:1 tutoring without impacting the runtime. Allowing you to create the perfect knife for you. The lunch spread was also amazing with fresh breads, cheese and spreads. 10/10 an awesome experience that I'll always remember.

What a fun experience! From the moment you arrive you feel welcome in the lush greenery are greeted by a friendly face. You get straight into it and can pick your design that you want to make. Bruce is very knowledgeable about knives and will teach you many things throughout the day. It is an incredibly fun and rewarding experience to make your own knife that you know will be with you forever if you treat it right. Bruce is very helpful if you need assistance and will let you experiment and learn about the process of knife making, and will only demonstrate or work on your knife for you if you ask or need it. He is a very friendly man and his wife Anne puts on a delicious lunch! I have come out of the course wanting to pickup the art of knife making. Just need to get some tools! I can only recommend this course if you are into knives/tinkering, if it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you Bruce and Anne for the great day. -Blake

An amazing experience! Bruce, Anne and Alex were excellent hosts. The knife making was fun, hard enough to keep on your toes and we learnt so much along the way! Bruce made sure to correct all the mistakes and blemishes that we caused! And we ended up with amazing knives to go home with. Great lunch too! Would go back again!

Awesome day start to finish, came away with a knife that far exceedmy expectations. Great advice, techniques and guidance the whole way through to make sure you get a knife you can be proud of. The lunch and afternoon tea was also top notch!

Had a fantastic time on the knife making day with Bruce. Bruce is an excellent instructor and made sure we were all comfortable with what we were doing, and assisted where needed to ensure we all came out with excellent knives.Anne, his wife, is also lovely and we had delicious food on the day.Very happy.

What a fantastic day that I (a middle aged mum) spent with my dad and my two teenagers! We weren’t really convinced that given our skill level that we’d produce anything that was recognisable as a knife, so we are thrilled with the results. Excellent and patient guidance from Alex and Bruce meant that we felt comfortable and confident the whole day. Thanks to them we all feel like we’ve created something really special and unique that we’ll all use for the rest of our lives. Great catering + great location + easy to use equipment + great company = great result. Give Lost Arts a crack - you won’t regret it! And anyone of any abilities can do it.

Where to start!! Bruce and Anne are amazing, from the moment you arrive you feel welcomed and there place is beautiful. The workshop is beautifully setup, lots of room and great tools. Bruce clearly knows what he is doing, not just at making knifes but how to run the day. There is a lot to do and and making a simple design is a better option so you have enough time to make it look stunning. I simply could not believe the outcome of my knife after just 8hrs work!!! I have already start looking at the tools to start making more at home!! Thank you so much Bruce and Anne, your guys are awesome!!!
