Couldn’t be happier with our decision to purchase with Quay cars. We are not based in Nelson so were purchasing the vehicle sight unseen and relying on comms with the dealership and a pre purchase inspection. Ryan was superb. Great communication all the way through. Very easy to deal with. Followed up on what they said they would do. Even dropped it to the airport for our arrival.The vehicle in the end actually exceeded our original expectations. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these guys to others based on our experience.

I've been sitting on this review.Hoping to cut this dealership some slack.However, I think it's only fair to warn people buying a vehicle here.I brought a car with the free nationwide delivery.This was a great selling point for me living in Dunedin working full time at a new job and not being able to take leave.After querying the delivery time after a few weeks, I was told delivery time frames cannot be guaranteed and they have no control over transportation.This process took a really long time as I was hoping they would transport at their cost as soon as they could seeing, I was already paying for insurance.Communication was definitely lacking and I found myself questioning the customer service.We settled on my family driving it to me and be given petrol money for the delivery and return.(This alot took a very long time just to get gas money).I have now had the car for about 8 weeks and an error message has appear on the dashboard.I emailed and rang to advise of the issue and I was told to bring to a garage get them to scan and restart the system.So I brought to a garage and they found that it was linked to a broken motor fan.They fixed it and rescanned and everything was well.It was a pricey hit at about 1k, I had to use my credit card as they wouldn't invoice the dealership directly.I was struck with a concerning conversation with the dealership being advised it might not sit well with their insurance".I do hope they will be supportive as they have told me the car has a warranty of 1 year and I could take it to a local garage.My next step if it isn't reimbursed in full is speaking to a lawyer.If anything changes

I would not recommend this trader. He will communicate with you just fine and then drop off as soon as you pay for your car. After more than 3 months of waiting for our car to arrive (paid for in full) Ryan simply stopped answering his phone or emails. He is not MTA registered so there is no way of holding him accountable for his dodgy business practices. We lost so much trust in him as a dealer we sent a friend in person to check he even had the car, concerned he may have gone out of business and lied to us about it. In the end, after 3 months of being very understanding, we managed to put enough pressure on him that he begrudgingly allowed us to terminate the contract. I can't express enough the relief it was to be done with this awful dealer. You may notice his landline inbox is so full you can't leave him a message. Please take this as a warning sign. Find a car from somebody else.

Ryan went above and beyond to help me into the car I so desperately needed. Communication was 100% all the time always answered any questions I had and very fast responses at that. He is a very friendly person with great customer service. The car is amazing and perfect. I highly recommend ryan at quay cars and will let others know what great service I had and if they need a car I will send them his way. Thank you so much! Very happy

Absolutely shocking sales experience from Ryan who works here. Not bothered whether you make a deal or not! Appalled by his lack of communication, and unprofessionalism. Won't be visiting or sending any one to this dealership after our experience here! A real let down overall. A very very un-happy customer!!!

I found the team at Quay Cars great to deal with. Ryan was prompt in his replies to my inquiries about the Suzuki Swift I have now bought from this company. Service was positive and friendly, and I’m confident that it will continue to be so.

5+ stars for Ryan and his team. I needed a car for a 6 month period & Ryan made the experience enjoyable and straightforward. He offered the guaranteed buy-back option, which was ideal for my limited time frame. Ryan answered all my questions and facilitated me finding an ideal car for my needs...AA approved, road ready and I drove it off the lot without any problems. 6 months later, I brought it back and after an appraisal the funds were back in my account without a hitch! High quality customer service, great car selection, and an honest team that really listens to your needs. If you're looking for a used car, you won't get better service than Quay.

Absolutely useless and untrustworthy.Ryan did not keep me informed about delivery logistics. I had to keep chasing and chasing. It took 8 weeks for the vehicle to arrive and all Ryan could do whenever I asked was blame other people.Ownership wasn't done correctly and I had to chase again to get vehicle registered properly. Ryan also put dodgy snow tyres on the vehicle which have now failed a warrant 6 months after purchase.I do not recommend buying a vehicle from this place and infact I think Ryan and his car dealership should be investigated

Extremely poor service.Repeatedly told info that wasn't true and went back on their word, car ended up getting delivered 2 weeks late while having to follow up each day to try get answers. Breakdown insurance wasn't set up for another 5 weeks, only look multiple phone calls and probing.Be prepared to constantly call for any info as communication is terrible. Rating them a 2 star because the car did turn up in good condition and dives well.
