I would strongly recommend you avoid Carmelita’s service at all cost.I sat in Carmelita’s chair for a total of 16 hours and received irreparable damage and staining to my hair. I had to cut a lot of it off, as the cut alone was dreadful. It has been 6+ months and I have spent hundreds of dollars attempting to correct what she did (with little success). You wear your hair every day, and Carmelita ruined mine. It is still very distressing to me, and it has affected my confidence and trust in hair stylists.She also perpetuated anti Semitic stereotypes about her father and told me she sometimes does a bad job on clients hair if she doesn’t like them, so they won’t come back. Abhorrent.I did receive a full refund, but this does not cover the hundreds I have spent in ongoing treatments and attempts to correct, nor the distress caused.

Fantastic haircut, great price and best of all amazing customer service! Moved here recently so was trying to find a good hairdresser's. So glad I chose to try Salon Villair! Alli was awesome- she explained everything that she was going to do beforehand and made sure I was comfortable. She also explained everything as she was going, in such a friendly and easygoing way. I loved my haircut afterwards- but then I felt a little adventurous and wanted to go even shorter with it. Alli was happy to oblige me at their Thorndon location and at no extra cost! Loving the haircut even more now and just really appreciating the above and beyond" attitude at this place. Coming back for sure :)"
